Monster cock phenomenon

I’m sure we all know someone who just a has an insanely large unit; what causes this?

I’m talking about 10 or more inches in length, or more than 7 in girth! It seems these units belong on some large animal; what genetic factor or mutation is responsible for this phenomenon?

It is the same genetic factor as the one for your avatar’s boobs, only the male version.

I’m starting to think it’s more on the lines of a mutation.
If it was forged from evolution, having an evolutionary advantage; you would think more men would be that way.

But it’s not an advantage from an evolutionary perspective, since it radically limits the number of viable partners. Most women are unable or unwilling to accommodate such a large unit.

Also, all evolutionary processes are accomplished via random mutations, in addition to natural selection.

Good point, I have always been interested in the phenomenon.

This has been discussed here before: however, in my opinion this trait is favored more by social environs than those found ‘in the wild’. For example, if there was any advantage conferred by a large dong in the latter (wild), then surely other primates such as gorillas would’ve evolved it by now. Our species, however, has the largest penis of any of the primates, including apes who often weigh 3 - 4 times as much as us.

As our semi-mastery of the wild environment has progressed, the environment that more and more tends to shape sexual selection is the social environ: this social sexual selection is responsible for refining traits already inherited from the wild, including penile size.

Others have suggested a larger penis is also correlated with a higher likelihood of conception due to being able to deliver sperm closer to uterine point of conception, but I know of no facts that support this.

Chimpanzees have the largest testicles of any primate, and that has been attributed to female chimps liking male chimps with big nuts.

Isn’t the Discovery Channel cool? I learn so much just by watching it. One of these days I’m going to impress someone with my knowledge of chimp nuts.

My friend who has one that hangs down almost to his knees used to do steroids in high school. I suspect there might be a connection. I especially suspect this after having heard stories about monster cocks on my college’s football team — lot of those guys came in as freshmen looking like pro wrestlers (ie obviously had used steroids). This, of course, is a separate cause though. I know most of the monsters are not steroids-as-teen related. At least I assume.

If penis size was the only determining factor in how successful a male human is at reproduction, then sure, we’d all be the way. But the evolution of the human brain has allowed us to feel love, which can overcome physical deficiencies in a mate when we choose our reproductive partners. A woman can love a man with a small penis and thus he can still be reproductively successful.

We do have larger penises than any other primate, as someone else posted, so it’s probably been a factor at some point.

I wouldn’t surprised if the reason we have larger penises than other primates is that our females have larger vaginas than other primates. I’m figuring the vaginas of our species must be larger because our skulls are larger — our brains are much larger relative to body than other primates (vaginas larger because of larger skulls because our skulls have to fit through vaginas for birth).

Why do we have ugly men?

If you can bring home a deer carcass or two, the size of your penis is irrelevant.

Actually, as far as I know, the reason we have longer penises than primates is because when we started standing upright, the position of the vagina shifted and a longer penis was needed to penetrate.

I’m sure a longer penis has a better chance of effectively depositing sperm, as does a girthy one have a better chance of sealing it in.

I think that was the best idea I’ve heard so far. That the female birth canal is larger to accomodate the larger skull of a human baby, and thus a larger penis matches.

As I read this thread I stumbled across this video that I just couldn’t believe. Is this photo shop or is this a 12 inch dick. I want to know what you guys think.
