What is the current state of PE?

A number of us have been kicking around mechanisms of PE elongation, namely tension-induced connective tissue remodeling. Here are a couple of threads that might be of interest to you:

Girth theory: Pumping vs. clamping
Possible reason for PE induced growth

Love to hear your thoughts.

LOT theory has been pretty much discredited, cooling down in an extended state is all the rage, the less-is-more approach is gaining a lot of adherents…

Oh yeah, and there’s this new pill that’s guaranteed to give you two inches in two weeks! :spin:

Many thanks!

I have gone back and fourth many times on less-is-more.

Cooling down in an extended state. It sounds like the material science approach might be currently popular.

What about hormonal profiles? Has there been much recent talk of hormones and how their levels might regulate the various stages of erection and penile tissue plasticity? For example, PGE1.

Your and my departure and return have closely coincided.

I’m very glad to see you.

Penismith, I think you’ll appreciate the threads pudendum linked to.

You might consider this technique to ease yourself back into PE: Don’t Try This At Home! :D

Much of what happens in PE is cyclical. For example, cooling down under a stretch is nothing new. Nor is the less is more approach. Such things wax and wane.

I’d say a recent long-term truly “new” trend is/was the use of vacuum for attaching hangers and stretchers/ADS devices. I haven’t been keeping up with recent talk about vacuum hangers, nor have I tried one.

As for the hormonal/chemical side of things, there has been nothing terribly exciting. People into that stuff might want to check out Stagestop’s thread.

Welcome back, Penismith.

Welcome back, Penismith.

Vac attachment is a good one.

Also the rise of the humble cable clamp, and fall of the hose clamp and ‘Uli Thing’ - maybe this is a couple of years old (especially the Uli Thing.)

Jelq my boy, jelq like the wind.

Hiya Penismith,
you missed the big vaccum-stretch shitfight between GerryK and Monkeybar which was a real shame (the shitfight, not the fact that you missed it). Both had well researched and developed products that seem to work - unfortunately the two devices had er, similarities, hence the shitfight.

Generally though I agree with hobby’s view that most of PE is a case of been there, done that. I wonder if we have hit something of a plateau of PE knowledge and techniques. I guess there are only so many ways we can stretch, bend, jelq, pump and clamp our dicks. We know that all pills and patches are useless and all the various supplements have been investigated and factored in.

I suppose surgery, still a risky and very expensive growth option, is likely to developed and improved in years to come.

I wonder where PE will be 10 years from now. Surgery aside, will it ever recieve medical acceptance? Will a course of PE and supplements ever be prescribed by a GP to a man complaining of being undersized? It will be interesting to see.

If I have a say so it will. One of my New Years Resolutions (or goals) this year is to contact some of these doctors who we often quote in references to studies on the tunica, smooth muscle, etc. I’m hoping they will be able to offer a different point of view than all of us PEers have.

Hey now, I still don’t like cable clamps. They are incapable of doing true Extreme Ulis. For lesser degrees of engorgement I think it’s hard for anything to beat an infinitely adjustable stretchy wrap. It can be made as tight or loose as you want, is low profile, and almost anything can be used.

You’re reaching back more than just a year or two for the cable clamps. It is now approaching 5. Wow! Where does the time go?

First mention of cable clamps made here back in July, 2003.
- Captain’s Wench application utilizing them in November, 2003.

The Wench is what popularized them.

Why?

Or do you mean that they might have something new to offer to the knowledge base and not that they’d invalidate what we’ve already learned?

I think that PE went through some very rapid knowledge base expansion, probably as much to do with consolidation as with ‘new’ information.

Now that TP is the default clearinghouse for all PE disciplines we’ll see the occasional new thing or notion but more likely the majority of knowledge will come form further consolidation of what we’ve already learned.
In much the same way any other discipline expands.
