WTF-My Girth-Bigger than I think

This is weird..

I’ve heard a lot of people say that a toilet roll holder (the cardboard bit inside) measures 6” around and that if you can fit your erect cock snugly inside you can take that as your girth measurement.

So today during my edging session I decided to grab a used toilet roll and slip my cock inside to test the theory and I couldn’t fit my penis inside. I thought maybe it was the oil from edging & I was possibly being too gentle so I tried again, pushing a little bit harder and nope, no way was it going in.

Hmnnn.. Wtf?

I then take the toilet roll holder to my computer desk, whip out my measuring tape & see what it’s ‘girth’ is.

6” dead on.

Now I’ve always measured myself at 6” meg & sometimes I can go up to 6.125” meg roughly, with a 6.5” beg.

Now, if that was the case I’d be able to fit into the toilet roll holder right? So maybe I’m measuring incorrectly or pulling the tape too tight on me? Maybe the spongy flesh reduces the measurement somewhat. Either which way something’s not right. My girth is bigger than I have measured it to be.

I’m a bit taken a back really because I was always sure I was a 6”er and now it looks like I’m actually bigger than that and until I can find an accurate way of measuring my girth I’ll never really know just how big I am.

I know I’m not like 7” meg or anything like that, you can see my pics online to verify that, but I’m above the 6” meg mark and still growing.

I’ve had run-ins with incorrect measuring before and had to reduce my measurements accordingly but this is something I thought I would be past after almost a year studying up on my pe 101 lessons :)

Anyways, I’m not moaning it’s actually a greeeaaaat ego booster and really encouraging but I may need to watch my girth because if I can’t measure it accurately and end up in the 7” meg zone without realizing (surely I ‘d know?) then sex with the fiance’ may become an issue.a painful one at that.

Now all I need is another 1.2” on my bpel and I’ll be at my ideal size 9” bpel x 6.2” (approx)

First off, sounds great! lol better than finding 10 bucks in your pocket you forget about eh?

I reckon the oil would actually make it more difficult for you to slide your unit in, not 100% on that but it might be.

Also, the inner girth of the toliet paper roll will actually be noticeably LESS than the outer circumference. You can test this but cutting the tube longways and then measuring the distance, I bet you it’ll be less than 6”…Let me know though I’d be interested to know if I’m right.

I find measuring girth on my penis pretty tricky, maybe try getting some string to measure, making a mark on it, then putting it against a ruler for an accurate girth measurement.

That’s what I tried when I started out doing pe almost a year ago and I measured something like 6.7” meg then once I got a measuring tape I got the 6” meg measurement that I now have on my stats.

I’d love to think I’m 6.7” meg but that’s not the case.. At least I don’t think it is.

The toilet roll test does not apply to those (like me) with thicker head than shaft…

Yeah… measure your head/glans of the penis… if the circumference is greater than the shaft, that would explain everything… even so at 6” you still wouldn’t be able to get it in… remember that the penis is not a perfect cylinder like a toilet roll… so if you’re 6” in girth chances are the “width” of your penis would be greater than the “width” of the toilet roll even though your circumference is the same.

From how I understand it, you need to measure the inside of the toilet paper roll.

So cut it lengthwise, flatten it out and measure it. What do you get?

The “cottonelle” brand on I have here measures 5.25”

5.9” long is what I measured when I cut it out so I guess me not fitting in makes sense now?

As for head being bigger than my shaft.. I’ve never paid attention to that but I think it is. I’m in no mood to get a hard on now and look but I may flick through my pics just to see.

I agree with you that girth is very hard to measure. For me, base is harder to get than midshaft.

But I can’t imagine that you would have such a measurement error midshaft that you would get to 7” MSEG with out knowing it. The variations I get for example on MSEG are in the 1/8 area. And that could just be EQ or not having the tape in the “right” place.

So I don’t think you need to worry too much about really overshooting there.

I did have some trouble once when I had a bad inaccurate measuring tape — have you measured yours tape with a ruler recently?

Could you explain why its hard to get a girth measurement? It shouldn’t be that difficult. All you have to do is either use a taylor’s tape measure (the flexible kind) OR use a string and mark where the string meets and place it on a ruler. Its normal for base girth to be greater than midshaft. Someone here uses a dollar bill…

As far as I know my tape is fairly accurate, I’ve measured it alongside a ruler & a builder’s measuring tape and it matches up ok.

Measuring ‘beg’ is tough the extra skin around there bunches up and can lead to very inaccurate readings. I’ve never measured the bottom of my head but that’s next on my agenda.

Well, it shouldn’t be that hard but my experience with the toilet roll tells me I’m not quite accurate with my measurements as I’m a good bit bigger than the 5.9” hole in the middle of it.

Another thing, which I mentioned in my progress log, is that I feel thicker and heavier than normal.almost like my girth has increased even though the tape still says 6.1” approx. I thought that was just in my head but it’s definitely girthier and weightier than before.

I have experienced the same feeling — tape numbers stays the same but unit feels “girthier”.

In my case I figured out from picture comparisons that other parts of my penis were basically filling out. For example more thickness from circ scar to glans. And between midshaft and base. So while midshaft measurement did not change, I was getting thicker.

I guess if we were going to be totally obsessed about this we would take more measurements than just base and midshaft. Some guys probably do.

I don’t want to sound like I’m obsessing, I’m just taken aback about my girth being bigger than I originally thought, and I’ve always known I’m girthier than most.

My fiance’ always says that I’m huge and easily one of the thickest she’s ever seen (porn included) I guess now I might actually believe her when she says this :)

Now, I guess it’s all about me adding that extra inch in the length area without adding too much extra thickness.not as easy as it sounds.

I know what you mean… I get the same feeling, even though I’m much skinnier than you girth-wise (4.0” mid-shaft). After jelqing, horse 440’s or even a 10min pump session I feel “girthier”, but no difference in tape. I finally did a 30min pump session at 5in Hg and got a 0.25” expansion. I thought for sure my tunica was made of titanium… lol
