Thank you.
The “major” tool you need is some sort of drill to make the holes, other than that, a saw to cut the fittings, a pair of scissors and a screwdriver.
The “darknight” is a little less labour intensive, but not as elegant in form or function. and does not use the “quick noose”.
I rebuilt my current white knight from scratch in about two and a half hours. I had tried to paint the old one and even though I used paint that would bond to plastic, it stayed tacky for days and days so I scrapped it and started over, implementing my recent “improvements”.
Thanks again for the compliments, I would love to see a picture if anyone else has actually built one.
By the way, I used a memory foam shoe insole for the “foam rubber” on the top, which has a fabric lining to it. I did not really think about it too much when someone in another post said I spent way too much and could have got a piece of foam or gel for cheaper, and I said it would probably work with a different material. After thinking and using it for many months, the friction from the fabric is a crucial part of what makes the “quick noose” work, so I would recommend the same material, although I have not tried anything else (and something else may work).
Thanks again and good luck!
