Bad experience with Picturebrite

I used to pump to try to straighten my curve, and I decided to give it a shot again. Tossed my old equipment when I moved a while ago, so I ordered the Jim Diamond cylinder and pump often recommended from Picturebrite.

The package arrived today, and I am disappointed.

First, although the cylinder has a sticker on it that says 2”, it actually measures barely over 1.75” interior diameter. Did they send me the wrong cylinder, or are their measurements wonky in other people’s experience too?

Second, all of the equipment was clearly not brand-new. There was a weird motor oil smell and odd residues, especially on the pump, and even the cylinder had a “stain” on the interior that made me wonder if it was used. I cleaned all of the stuff with soap and water, but now that I realize they sent me the wrong cylinder size, I will probably just return everything for a refund, as much of a pain in the ass as it will be to mail it all back, and as annoying as it is to pay S&H both ways for a product that isn’t as advertised.

Based on this experience, I do NOT recommend ordering form Picturebrite.

Thanks for the heads up and sorry for the bad experience.

What is your curve like? Also, did you always have it? I don’t think I am a miracle worker but I corrected a bad curve - I may have just been lucky.

I done about 2 weeks of really gentle 50% erection jelqs against it and a few really soft ULI’s while bending away from the curve for 60 seconds. My experience was that if I done it too hard, then it was counter-productive.

I know you are a veteran, so I don’t mean to tell you what to do when you probably know more than me. Just thought I would share my two pennies.

Did you order the red handle pump with gauge and if so is it the same pump as the lapdist or harbor freight pump?

If you can confirm that the pump is a lesser quality then the lapdist pump, then I will start only recommending picturebrite for cylinders only.

I have only ordered a 3” cylinder from them and it was in fact 3” ID, but right at the flared end it does neck down slightly less then 3”, but then opens up to the full 3”. If your cylinder measures 1.75” beyond the flare, then they made a mistake.

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

I got a 5” cylinder from them and was quite pleased with it.

Running a Massive Co-Front.

5” ID?

You ANIMAL!

Yeah, I think it’s the same metal pump as the other companies sell.

I’ve never owned another one of these metal pumps, so I can’t confirm that it is of “lesser quality” than other companies’. I think it would have worked find (i.e., created a vacuum in the tube), but the fact that it was greasy, stained, and reeking of motor oil (or something else) is inexcusable and disgusting, in my opinion. I’ve ordered from a number of sex-toy companies in the past, and I have never received products that were clearly something another customer had used and returned. Even the “box” that the pump and cylinder came in was shoddily half-stapled back together, and it had grease stains on it, also.

It is possible that the cylinder was only tapered down at the end, as you say — I am not sure. I just know it was considerably smaller than the 2” tube I previously had from another company, and that it, like the pump, had distinct signs of having been used before (stains/grease marks on the interior of it).

I have no problem with the fact that you have recommended Picturebrite on the forums, since you had good experiences with them. I offered the recommendation, too, seeing that they were the cheapest supplier around, and I never imagined that any company would try to cut corners by distributing used penis pumps. I’m sure most of Picturebrites’ products are fine, but I’ll never take the chance of ordering from them again.

Herbalist, thanks for sharing your experience :) I have just a mild left curve. Manual exercises never helped, but packing a tube with a pump did seem to help.

Anyone know a cheap reliable handpump available at an auto store?

Mity-vac is the typical recommendation, I believe.

PG - I had them send me the wrong cylinder.

They were INCREDIBLY nice about it.

They apologized, and then they drop shipped the correct cylinder that day. I got it the next day.

They told me not to worry about shipping the wrong cylinder back, but I did anyway because they really were good about it.

So give them a chance to make it right.

As to the pump I have heard other people complain of "oil" smells. I think that is probably a cheap knock off.

Get the HARBOR FREIGHT pump. There is probably one in your town.

(I learned about the harbor freight pump here: Lap pump = harbor freight tools pump )

Thanks sta-kool. I followed the instructions for mailing the eqiupment back to them, and included a note explaining my problem and why I want a refund. I will post what happens in this thread. It’s certainly possible they’re just a small company overloaded with orders, and some asshat customer mailed used equipment back to them (packed back up by himself) and claimed he never opened it, and they sent it back out without realizing it was used.

Sigh I just received my 1.75” cylinder from them yesterday. I just now tried it out well guess what the dam thing leaks. It leaks where the flat part is glued to the cylinder part. It is the flat end where the hose adapter screws onto. I confirmed that is the source of the leak when I filled the cylinder with water and put my mouth on the open end blew a little and water seeps out from that exact spot. I already contacted Picturebrite but the only thing is I threw out the packaging and shipping box to avoid nosy room mates from finding my secret out. I hope they help me but if they do not want to how can I fix the leak any kind of plastic glue maybe?

Also the pump I ordered from them a few months back failed it was making a popping sound when pumping and the gauge got stuck wouldn’t go lower than 2hg. I threw it out and purchased a harbor freight pump locally for $20 and it is much much better quality than the Picturebrite pump.
