Lube for Pumping

Up till recently I had been using Vaseline/Equate as my choice of lubricant for pumping. But it’s becoming a hassle to clean up afterward. I have just purchased a real great pump from LeLuv and want to take care of it since it is a big buy for me. And it’s something I enjoy doing.

Would water based lubes be best for pumping and cleaning?

Yes. Not all water based lubes are created equal. I’m liking Liquid Silk for pumping at the moment - it doesn’t dry out, but it’s not as ‘natural’ as some, which do tend to dry out much quicker.

Raw shea butter, just a bit on the spots that get stuck against the cylinder. No need to clean it everytime .

I use VacuLube from Vacutech. The same feel as Vaseline but without the messy cleanup.

I use olive oil. Stays slick and clean up is easy.

Coconut oil, smells tropical :) I have also been using vitamin E oil lately as it is supposed to help with discolouration.

Olive or Coconut are great too. Never tried Shea Butter. Some oils really mess up your tube (cause it to go cloudy), so you have to be careful. I find tube cleaning takes a bit longer with oils than water based lubes, but I just wipe them off my penis rather than washing it (unless ther is good reason to wash it ;) ). They provide good moisturising. :)

I actually have both Olive and Coconut oil at home because I cook with them. I might just try it. :) I’ve used olive oil for masturbating before and liked it. I might like it while pumping to.

When you are chatting someone up, you can always ask them if they like Italian food, then you’ll know whether to wash, or wipe afterwards. :)

You know I’m just gonna go buy KY Jelly. It’s water based and therefore easy to clean. I’m not going to use oils because I already use them for my beard and scalp as moisturizers.

Never been a fan of KY for pumping. Always dried out far too fast for my liking.

I’ve also never used olive oil or coconut oil or anything like that. I may give that a try one day to see if there’s any demonstrable difference.

I use a combo of KY jelly and Astroglide. KY on the base of the cylinder, and astroglide on my penis.

As you know, the KY is very thick, so it is good for getting a great seal between the base of your cock and your cylinder.

And the astroglide is perfect for yr penis gliding against the walls of the cylinder.

The combo is definitely easier to clean than just KY alone. It doesn’t smell as bad either (I hate the smell of KY)

I get generic versions of both the KY an Astroglide, either at walmart, walgreens or target.

P.S. I would never use oils; way too difficult to clean up and eventually they will damage your cylinder.

Coconut oil has been my favourite thus far and I recommend it to all to try.
