Pump tube as a measurement tool

New to PE, I have pump.

I tried to measure my penis with ruler but couldn’t get an accurate reading. The measurement with the ruler is always different depending on the erection at that moment and depending on where I put the base of the ruler.

The pump I have has inch markings on it. On a typical erect pump session my penis is around 7 inch mark. And this measurement doesnt change depending on anything at all. When ever I pump erect, I get the same reading.

So what I want to ask is, will the reading on the erect pumping session be a valid BPEL reading? Or is it considered “cheating” :)

The main thing for you is to measure progress, so as long as you think what you are doing is providing consistent results, then go ahead and use it.

For tracking growth it’s fine. If you post it on a dating site, you could be considered exaggerating, but then everyone does lie on dating sites! :)

What you are doing is ok for tracking progress. You may want to use a real ruler to calabrate the markings on the tube. Than you can compare your pumped length in the tube with someone else’s pumped length in the tube.

So, is there a difference in your pumped lengths and ruler lengths?

Pumped or clamped lengths are generally like having an 12 out of 10 erection. So they tend to be a little bigger than you could pull out and show to someone. :)

Its accurate if you use the same vacuum level and same arousal level. The difference between being fully aroused and not can be an inch or more at lower levels. I think its good to take red nail polish, and put a small dot at new levels. Its a fun and accurate way to measure gains, and it stays on for a long time…but make sure the surface is completely clean and dry in order for it to stick well.

This way you don’t have to worry about arousal levels, just when you pass your best mark, add another dot.

Now sparkyx, what are you doing with red nail polish? ;)

I used a strip of masking tape to measure my max length under 5 hg when I first started pumping. I am always amazed and encouraged when I now squeeze my fully packed dick into my first tube and watch how far it stretches beyond the original mark. However, It takes a lot of lube and time to force it to its max in my original tube. I guess I didn’t have any nail polish handy at the time; however, the tape is a shade of mauve.

I have always said, that the only true way of measuring, is by the amount of penis that you can suck into the tube. Measuring with a ruler/tape depends on where you start measuring from.

I like this idea also. I have problems measuring my cock in NBPEL

In my opinion vacuum measurements are accurate and reliable to track gains, but is not a “true” measurement because it’s not only measuring fluid buildup that also goes to the glans, but also measures length with the ligs stretched, which would be a little “cheat”

I’m not saying you can’t use it, I personally use it too, but what’s important for me is BPEL on the ruler.

I’m pretty consistently 1/4” shorter than my max in the tube. You should try and see the difference a few times for yourself. I think once you can figure that out, you can get a pretty consistent NBPEL.

EG, on the other hand, is wildly different in the tube due to fluid build up. I wouldn’t measure EG until at least 1 full day of rest after the tube, possibly 2. You might be able to figure out your clamped difference if you clamp, but I have never tested it.

I measure 1/8” beyond 8” after an hour in the tube.

My maximum E.L. Has been 7 5/8”, about 1/4” of that has been from pumping with this tube that is 1/8” narrower than my E.G. In the last 6 months.

Is a half inch difference normal?
