board.lore says to stop PE completely, or you’re defeating the purpose of a deconditioning break. There’s a lot of anecdotal evidence, and people have linked to research papers supporting the idea.

I haven’t done the decon thing myself, so I have no personal data to contribute.

If you decide to do a decon, it doesn’t mean you have to sit in front of the TV eating Doritos. You can work on your balls if that’s your thing, or pursue women, or use the time in the gym, or study; you’ve developed the habit of blocking out a certain amount of time for PE; repurpose that time, don’t just let it evaporate into ‘whatever’. Making and keeping a schedule is one of the most common problems people report when doing PE.

Well my friend, I am lucky in this way haha. Every minute I spend doing PE is time I spend at my computer doing deep work. So thankfully I will not have to re purpose the time. I will have to do a little digging around and make a decision on this.

My gains tapered off for a while until very recently when I added more weight. Then I hit got back to my previous all time measurement within a few days. My PIs are still good which is why I am iffy on the decon.

Onward and upward we go then. I really do believe I can hit 7” BPEL by the year end.

Been a while. Feel like my gains are stalling or something. Lowered the time, having really good PIs, have not sat in front of my monitor consuming porn in 75 days. I will be adding one more pound in November, and another in December. Those first easy gains are a big mind melter in a way. And keeping them around is proving difficult for me.

You’re not writing down your measurements? You should be able to look back and plot your gains vs. weight and time at the very least.

How much are you losing, and when?

I will be honest I have not measured in a while. I have just strictly been trying to remain consistent and focus on my PIs. My PIs are good with the recent weight raise so maybe I can head higher. One thing that helped was lowering the total time hanging too. down to 50 minutes total weighed time. Instead of 70 minutes.

Alright guys I measured. I stood up to measure and I got 6.25 BPEL, which is my starting measurements. All my measured gains have either been lying down or sitting down. What the hell is going on? I feel frustrated. I have a better flaccid than when I started, I have great PIs from the workouts, It has been almost one year now. Not sure what is going on. My plan is to keep on trucking because my life is very accommodating to this hobby. I will be increasing the weight as well. But the issue is when I stand I cannot get over 6.25”. I wanted to see between 6.5 and 6.75 as I have measured before. I dunno.

Are you measuring exactly the same way each time? Note that you’ll get different measurements sitting, laying down, and standing - and for standing, the angle of your pelvic bone can be a factor.

Are you *sure* you’re measuring exactly the same way each time?

It would be a good idea to review the measurement guide on the main forum screen. Even if you’ve read it before, it’s worth going over again.

Follow the instructions step by step, and measure every day for at least a week. If your figures are the same each time, you know you’re doing it right. Then measure at least once every two weeks after that. You can log the results and see if you’re making progress or hitting a plateau.

Remember, “without data, you’re just guessing.”

I am measuring the same way every damn time. I am sure it has something to do with pelvic tilt. I know my unit and I have had gains. Except for when I stand. Well, onward and upward. Be back in December with another measurement.

I will NOT be giving up on this journey. Just 3 days into hanging with 7.14lbs and my PIs are really great, and my flaccid is hanging better than ever before in my life! Consistency, heat, and do not quit!
