“Cetrulo said his team plans to further develop transplant protocols on civilians, noting that Defense officials are hesitant about supporting experimental surgeries for service members.
“We hope to make this kind of experimental surgery safe and routine,” Cetrulo said.
More than 3½ years of research and teamwork among dozens of specialists in plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Massachusetts General is one of five transplant centers across the nation approved to perform penile transplants.
Cetrulo and Ko began researching the possibility of performing a penis transplant in 2012, shortly after an hospital team led by Cetrulo completed its first hand transplant. Working closely with the New England Organ Bank, both surgeons developed surgical approaches.

I can understand not rushing and offering to fast possible false hope. I will continue to monitor but won’t rush to attempt. I rather they have greater results, than attempt for a quick let down.

I just finished reading the whole thread and man life fucked you up pretty hard.It was your fault entirely for what happened,to be fair,but you got punished in the worst way possible for a mistake that any human can make.

I congratulate you for being very decent and level headed about this and having the best behavior someone could have in your situation.I can’t imagine what you are going through,most guys would probably go nuts or kill themselves right away.I would probably start killing people and then kill myself in your situation,but i’m not you.

The only piece of advice I can give you is that you can still stimulate your prostate for an orgasm.As I understand,you don’t have anything left of your penis so you can’t masturbate to relieve yourself.This is tragic.The prostate is located in your anus and you can reach easily with your finger and rub it until you orgasm.It may sound gay but it’s not.Doctors do this on a regular check to see if you are healthy.This is the best way to relieve yourself so your balls won’t explode,you can google about it for more information.If you found out about another way than it’s ok.

If I’m not asking for too much,can you post a picture with your current state of your penis,i would like to see how it looks now maybe I can give more tips on what you can do further.I still hope penis transplant/reconstruction will be a thing in the years to come.

I can’t take a pic of my penis, it was discarded when it was amputated. So I could pee without a catherter I had urether reroute under my scrotum. Which I will not take a pic of. And due to some requested that I not post any other pics, of not having a penis I wont. I respect my fellow members on here. Thank you on your post and info that you shared though.

Well I’m not only a man without a penis I’m also without a girlfriend now. The not able to fill her was to much, and she seemed to be going and getting filled by another which led to me finding out and so she no longer wants anything to do with a in her words a dickless freak. So here I am with my new journey in my life. Well they say things comes in threes what’s next for me? God only knows I guess.

That’s a real bummer. Things do seem to come in threes but I’ve noticed that it isn’t always bad news. There seems to be a 50/50% that the third item will be excellent news. Stay positive, brother. We see things as if through a veil or a mist. Keep taking those steps of faith.

Don’t lose your mind over this though.
I am sure penis transplants will be quite common in a about 5 to 10 years.
I mean just recently there was a man in the news that received a bionic penis, 8 inches as he wished, lol.
Other people here also mentioned things about transplants; the transplantation is perhaps in its infancy right now,
but I am sure soon enough, it will be advanced enough and be offered as a basic surgery.

I think if I was in your shoes, I would try to pour all my energy into my career and my hobbies.
I would forget about penis and sex for the few years that are left til the transplantation is available.
Meanwhile, I’d work and improve on myself, improve in areas where I lack.
And then, before you know, time flies by and its time for the penis transplant.

Once you have a dick again, you go on with your life normally, find a new girlfriend.

I hope this is a realistic course of action that you can take and I hope know that transplantation will be available soon.

Your story got me interested in all that stuff and actually there are guys out there that are craving for the thing that happened to you.

Now I don’t want to trigger somebody so I won’t get in to details, just thought it would give you new ideas, since you have that situation now.

I read the whole stuff and you really kept your cool, I don’t know how this is possible, maybe your style of “writing” is very calm and not so expressive.

Your girlfriend left pretty quickly and that was really sad, that would hurt me a lot.
