Well, let’s not say 1/50th of the volume of the root is water ~soluble~, since the resulting ‘tea’ that one gets is not clear, but rather almost like coffee, but you are on the right track that boiling the root for awhile will extract (dissolve or suspend) roughly 1/50th of it’s mass. Regarding ethanol extraction, CAUTION: DO NOT CONSUME TONGKAT ALI EXTRACTS MADE WITH ANYTHING BUT WATER. At least one animal study concludes that ethanolic extracts have toxicity. For that reason and the reason of production cost, I’m pretty sure 1:100 and 1:200 powders are prepared with hot water, as is the 1:50, but as I said before (Post #159), some additional step(s) like precipitation must be used to reduce extract mass, and that step causes some loss of active ingredient(s).

Damn, according to the studies they did on those rats. I would have to take 92 grams of Tongkat Ali 1:50 per day, which will cost me like 3,000+ dollars(given I buy it in pill form at 400mg a capsule) to get the total 7,728 grams I’ll need in the 12 week period. Which would mean i’ll have to take 184+ pills a day. LOLOLOLOLOL. Damn those rats were getting owned, completely saturating them with the herb.

All this for more penis. Shit if it was proven in humans and safe I probably still wouldn’t do it.

The only side effect that I have noticed is Insomnia.

I, like many of you, have been experimenting with Tongkat Ali having come across references to it on the AsiaTour site many months ago. I followed Kreuze’s recommendations (webmaster on AsiaTour) as to his preferred sources of the extracts (typically, 400 mg of 50:1). I have cycled 20 days on, 10 days off and I take 4 capsules per day separated as 1 capsule at a time in 4 hour intervals. I concur with Shiver that TA goes after sex hormone binding globulin that limits free testosterone as well as stimulates the leydig cells in the testes witness the engorgement and dramatic increase in libido. In short, TA ROCKS!

Since I have been away from active PE for quite a while because of intense business activities and other interferences, I decided to get cute and use the TheraP wrist band to try and extend the ‘pump’ I was getting from the TA.

Not only did I not lose my hard-earned gains from PE up to the time of my forced haitus from PE, I have actually gained a bit. I have to think that TA played a role in this - not a dominant role, but a role non-the-less. Now that I am able to get back to more active PE routines, you can bet that TA will be part of my regimen.

I am looking into taking some Tongkat Ali. I have read all of the posts on here I didnt read though if it helped anyone with stamina while fucking? I have tried taking stuff called cobra. It worked pretty good. I was thinking about trying this. Thanks guys

Hi - I am a scientifically oriented md.

I tried tongkat ali (1 gram every morning for a few months) and had my testosterone levels measured before and several times during the cycle. The hormone levels tripled over time, I was hornier, more energetic, needed less sleep.

But hell - the stuff tastes like shit. Drink it dissolved in coffee.

Sure it does, if you take the ground root or a free powder extract in the coffee, but the capsules that contain the extract taken with a glassfull of water do not.

I can purchase the extract as Serge Kreuz recommends but in capsule form 400 mg 50:1 extract. There are even higher concentrations of the extract in capsule form, too. I have had much the same experience as you suggest by taking 3 or 4 of the capsules with water spread out in even doses like 6 hours apart and then cycle 20 days on, 10 days off with no bad taste and no gastric distress. Yes, free T increases markedly. Maybe give the capsules a try if you like.

As an aside, my cousin lives in Frankfurt, and his wife comes from Munich - so how a flatlander met a Bavarian lady is a good story to hear him tell it. My late father was born near Shoenkirchen not so far from Kiel.
