I've cured my premature ejaculation

For me it has distilled down to that I should practice edging (which I don’t take enough time to do) and learn to have more faith in life and learn to let things just happen and stay relaxed. This is a long term endeavour, though, and I realize it’s difficult to change your behaviour patterns.

And I guess practice is important with a woman. But for that I’d need a long term girl friend. And I’ve just quit one and have the urge to get to know different girls. Oh, well.

Yes I do.

1) Stopped drinking ALL coffee regular and decaf!! Theres something in coffee that kills the sex life.
2) Cut back on all sodas, i drink no more than 2 to 3 sodas a week
3) I drink Teas, mostly green tea sweetened with honey and real maple syrup.
4) Take a good multiple vitamin, I take Vitamin World mega Man, zinc, and calcium.
5) drink a lot of water!
6) drink one 8 ounce class of water with 2 Table spoons of Vinegar ever day! (I use the Organic) Kroger sells it in the heath food section. The Vinegar helps to detoxify the body!
7) Do 15 minutes of PE exercises 3 days a week!

Made these changes and I can go for over an hour if i want to! I use to be a 1 - 2 minute man :-( .

Frist i thought it was just the PE exercises and vitamins, so I started back drinking coffee it didn’t matter weather it was regular or decaf within a week of drinking coffee at 2-3 cups a day i was back to a 2 minute man! Stop the coffee within a week of stopping I returned to being super stud again.

This is my experience, may be it will work for someone else can’t hurt to try!

Well, I went to an urologist yesterday. As promised, here’s the update for you guys:

The entire visit didn’t last for very long. I was in and out in less than ten minutes. This was mainly because I had already did a lot of research and did not have many questions. In other words, I already knew what to expect. Basically, I sat down in his office and told him that I had a problem with premature ejaculation. He asked me how long I usually last, and I told him somewhere between 30 seconds to 1 minute, which was the truth.

He immediately suggested SSRI! The actual name of the drug is called Sertraline, in 50mg tablets. He did mention to me about the possible side effects which have already been covered in this thread (and many others), so I am not going to repeat them. Now, the good part:

The doctor told me that none of his patients who are taking this drug had reported any of the side effects. I was shocked to hear that. I am not sure why, neither did he. He did say that not everyone experiences the side effects, but it’s just kind of odd that none of his patients experiences it.

The interesting thing is that he said something very similar to what King’s doctor said, and that is PE may go away once I have gained the confidence. What he meant was, although he didn’t clearly state it, that SSRI can be used as an aid for PE, but not a cure. In other words, while I am on the drug, I have a lot of work to do myself. For example, breathing control, edging, etc.

My only concern so far is that the drugs I got are in 50mg tablets. Can that be too much for my body? I think most of the people here are on 10-25mg doses.

I took my first pill today. It has been two hours since I took it. I haven’t felt any side effects yet. I will keep you guys updated. Oh, by the way, the doctor said that the effect (delayed ejaculation, not side effects) of the drug probably won’t kick in until a week later.

Comments? Suggestions?

I looked at Zoloft (Sertraline) as an alternative to Paxil, but decided against it, as many report weight gain (which along with fatigue, was my main complaint with Paxil).

Like I said, I am not planning on taking the drug for the rest of my life, but just long enough for me to learn the techniques to control my ejaculation. I cum to quickly to even practice any methods right now. I have tried practicing edging before, but having to stop at every 20 seconds interval just seemed silly and pointless.

I will keep an eye on my weight and keep you guys updated. Judging from the link you posted, most people experience weight gain soon after taking Sertraline (within two weeks to a month). So, I am going to weigh myself every week and monitor it.

The One, I myself as you can see have been taking Zoloft 50mg and it has worked well for me. The only side effect that I had was a weird feeling in my leg and that went away after a week. No weight gains or nothing like that. For the present time I am reconditioning my body on everything and I will get back into the routines later on. I think my body got used to PE and now I have to retrain it. But the Zoloft worked well for me. Setraline is the generic form of Zoloft. I think 50mg will be fine for you.

Now, the update:

I have been on Sertraline for a little more than two weeks now. No weight gain or any other negative side effects whatsoever. I have masturbated a few times in the past couple of weeks, and the average length for me to ejaculate has been about three minutes. I know that number probably doesn’t sound very good to those who can last all night long, but it’s a big improvement for me since I couldn’t last more than a minute before I started taking the drug. I even did edging once and it took about ten minutes before I let myself go and blew a big load. :D

The doctor did say that the full effect of the drug wouldn’t kick in unitl two to four weeks later. That’s good timing too because I will get to see my GF in the third week of February (we live in different countries).

How much do you pay for your Sertraline, iwillbbigger? I pay about 1.5USD per pill, and I think that’s pretty expensive.

One more question, iwillbbigger. How long did it take for you to start noticing the full effect of Zoloft?

I started noticing the full effects in about two weeks and brother let me tell you it was a joy just to be able to last longer than 5-10min. I know that may seem like a long time already but to be able to let go when I wanted to was fabulous.

I was thinking about something. Is it possible that if you are taking things to make more cum, they might be having the side effect of causing premature ejaculation? The reason I ask this is that I get the feeling like I am so full of cum that when I try to edge I just have to release it and I can’t hold it back. Might not be the case but I’m just curious.

Would make sense, but I think that other factors are much more significant. There are plenty of porn actors that shoot great big wads, but don’t have any problems with prem-ejac.

OK, update #2:

I have been on Setraline for a little more than a month now. The average time for me to ejaculate (masturbate) has been about two minutes. I am starting to think that this drug is not working out for me.

It is really hard to describe the sensation. Before I got on the drug, while masturbating or having sex, I would get over-excited/sensitive very quickly, pretty much from the start, and would ejaculate within 30 seconds. But now, it doesn’t feel very sensitive at start, but once the sensitivity kicks in, it builds up really fast. Since I have PE as long as I remember, I don’t know how it should feel like for “normal” males, but I assume that the urge to ejaculate would build up slowly. Clearly, this is not the case for me even while on this drug. Basically, I go from non-sensitive to feeling the need to ejaculate in a very short period of time, usually within ten seconds. I can assume that this is not the case for “normal” people.

I am slightly disappointed, but I am not giving up yet. If this drug does not work out for me, I will seek other help, such as herbal medicine or even acupuncture. The drug is pretty expensive in my country anyways!

Yes, hitting the two-minute mark is a big improvement from 30 seconds, but it’s jut not enough. Maybe I need higher dosage? My next appointment with the urologist is in two weeks. I will ask him about it.

There are still no signs of negative side effects such as weight gain, concentration issues…etc. I have even purposely miss a couple of days just to see if there were any withdraw symptoms, which there wasn’t any.

That’s about it. I just thought I would report back with my latest results.
