As my nutritionist buddy is telling me it all boils down to bare habit building, while the biologist in me still sees hormonal arousal the way to go, if all other variables remain constant.

I just can’t seem to overcome the idea of building arousal habbits may grant you a hornier wife, especially when dealing wits hormones such as FT4, FT3 and estrogen. Habit building is nice, until we fall back to the non-aided territory of emotional disbalabce due to her hormones being all messed up.

I had a talk with her doctor, and he claimed that those supplements may help, but the problem is not within the hormonal balance realm, since there would have been other symptoms, which he doesn’t seem to be present, despite my assurance of it. Symptoms include cold feet and wrists, troublesome sleeping, anxiety, pain during intercourse from tightened vaginal muscles, no sex drive, low self-esteem and hormonal belly.

Meanwhile, we both turned into the conclusion that more or less the troubles are hormonal, rather that pure habits.

Strangely enough the day she misses her pill regime we don’t copulate. I saw a direct connection. She had gotten sick and libido disappeared for 3 days. Then came back with a vengeance. —The Mag and Boron work together and help fix testosterone, apparently, and also aid in reduced fatigue and increases immune response. These are helping my wife BIG TIME.
—The pine bark is something that a female doctor is pushing right now through a series of new products for women to take, hormonal balance, libido, vaginal health, mood, etc. If the doctor includes pine bark as a key ingredient in her new over-the-counter female sexual supplement aids, I’ll give it to my wife :)
—Pygeum because its supposed to do something with phytoestrogens and also can create breast tissue growth in men if taken too much for too long, but its good for genital/urinary health, so my wife responds well to it, at least the puddle of her cream and juice on the bed after we fuck seems to be some evidence that this supplement is helping!?
—Kacip and Shatavari are centuries old aids for menopausal women in India, and when just this dual supplement is taken, my wife just feels better all around and I believe has less sweating episodes.
—Muira puama as just a libido increase in general.

I’ve also given her horny goat weed and damiana to take, but I created this 6-supplement stack for her to see how she does. She actively wants to take them each day because she knows it makes her feel better and sex is better. Like way way better because she gets instantly turned on when we start making out and dives right in fully, whereas before she didn’t have interest before or even during sex, even while she’s cumming her brains out, the spark in her for sex is a little dim. Hard to explain!

Thanks for the supplement stack, but a question still remains - if stopping the stack could revert her back to her natural, zero sex drive state?
Because I don’t want to have sex with her only due to some supplements making her want me. It’s the supplements talking, not herself. This is where the nutritionist buddy of mine and the biologist me are fighting over. He believes it is all to habit forming, while I disagree, fearing a fierce yo-yo effect may be behind the corner.

Maybe you should think in terms of correcting deficits. Magnesium and boron* , for example, are required for human health.

If you’d prefer a more natural approach, look at your and her diet. Is it lacking in meat (including liver) and animal fats? Do you eat a lot of processed food? Do you avoid seed oils? What about your water, is it low in Boron? You could eat Avocados to compensate.

She is on multivitamin stack already, so dietary deficits should be as minimal as possible. Our diet is rather normal, without much processed food and trying to source the cleanest of meats possible - this includes country-side pork and beef, mountain spring water trout, as well as home grown vegetables.
However, I may change her multivitamin stack for a more complex and athlete-inspired mix, including 200% on all B vitamins, 625% on Vitamin C, 200 μg /500%/ of Chrome, and 200% on Selenium and 120 mg /30%/ of Magnesium.

Those are the multivitamins I use on a daily basis and can say they are a good bang for their buck.

If you’re eating a good diet you don’t need to supplement. So why the multi vitamins? What deficiencies are they hiding?

Pigs are monogastric animals, so they tend to pile on the types of fat that they are fed with (as we do) and a lot are fed polyunsaturated seed oils to bulk them up. Beef fat should be good. What kind of proportion of meat to other stuff do you eat? Do you eat liver? (nutrient profile ).

What do you add to your vegetables to either get them to grow or prevent pests? What do you eat during winter?

Because food intake alone simply can’t produce a balanced vitamin input, especially with our fast lifestyle.
Additional supplementary diet is necessary for preventing deficiencies of any kind.
We eat liver, trying to diversify our intake as much as possible and economically friendly.
The only type of fertilizer that we use is organic, while we eat dried vegetables in the winter.

Sure it can. I don’t take supplements, though I have in the past. Unless you consider salt a supplement.

The thing about most supplements is they aren’t particularly bioavailable anyway. Whereas a properly constructed diet contains all you need in a bioavailable form. If you are having liver regularly, then you’re probably getting everything that’s in your multivitamins already.

From the outside, your diet looks good. That said I thought my diet was perfect 4 years ago but I changed it radically and it improved everything (including my sex life). It’s the food guidelines that most people use that are wrong, carb heavy, high seed oils etc.

Do you both get enough exercise and sunlight?

I do exercise, as a former Football player, but she doea not due to excessive tiredness from the thyroid glans removal.

I’d be pretty certain that is the issue. The thyroid gland is an incredibly important. It effects production of other things by other glands as well.

There’s a woman called Elle Russ who wrote the book “The Paleo Thyroid Solution”. I listened to this a couple of weeks ago from her and Paul Saladino, it’s pretty intense but goes through a lot of the problems, the difference between t3, reverse t3 and t4 and the loop that works in and a bunch of solutions for people in different positions. If you search youtube for Elle Russ, you come up with many more things.

Pumpedmembers post on vits supplements has some useful info, it may help if you can locate a local to you alternative dr that can help guide you an scan for deficiencies an hormone levels they often have a way of scanning the body or saliva, only reason I say this is its less intrusive than tradional blood tests an often gives you lot of info an see what they come back with, is also far safer when mixing supplements herbs when under guidance of a practitioner.

No not habit forming. She doesn’t even think about taking these if I don’t remind her half the time. And her libido is still quite low, but she’s never been a girl who’s jumped my bones, so to speak. Once she gets going with me she’ll say “do me from behind” or “I want to be on top” something like that. Its mainly that the supplements make her vagina more the way it was before menopause (actually, she thinks its better now than before menopause), and she knows if she takes them then sex is more comfortable. And its not that she has “zero sex drive” its just something not on her radar, once she starts its good, but up to us starting to be intimate and making out she’s not thinking “mmmmmmm I really want him right now, or later.” She does randomly tell me during any time of the day or night “I want to be intimate with you, I need you tonight” something like that, but its random and I don’t know what causes her to have that feeling at that moment.
