Can anyone verify that Cable Clamp and Cable Cuff are identical?

All I have in my town is Cable Cuff, and after searching, I read that they are identical in shape, but I can’t believe it by reading and looking at it. I am hoping for some more info on the subject before I go out and get something that will hurt like hell and not clamp me. If worse comes to worse, I will just buy it and find out, but I just want some more info on how identical they are. Hopefully these pictures I attach will help.

Picture #3 is most similar to the Cable Clamp. Try the Cuffs out but if you come across the Cable Clamp proper, pick one up anyway to compare..

They both look and function about the same. I use cable clamps and have never had one break on me. I remember earlier posts where some guys mentioned that the cable cuffs had a tendency to break. If you have a choice, get the cable clamps (probably at Walmart).

It is pretty obvious from the first pic that the cable cuff is made in China. I’m not saying that is necessarily bad, but it is a clue it might not be as good as the original. Maybe the cable clamp is made in China too, I don’t know. As long as it does the job, that is all that matters.

They are indeed each more identical than the last side by side. They even both have “Cableclamp.com” embossed on them.

All my Clamps(TM) are intact, but the other day I kegelled and snapped the ratchet off one of my Cuff(TM)’s.

‘Sea Clamp’ are the same too. I have snapped the ratchet off several Cable Clamps, but never off a Sea Clamp (yet!). Maybe the white plastic is stronger than the coloured plastics?

As noted the white plastic is a bit tougher.

Got the cable cuff. It only looks to be different in a bad way because of the hinge but once closed the rounded side rotates in and it is a perfect triangular oval just like cable clamp.
