How important are rest days

How important are rest days

I just started. I did 2 on, 1 off, but then read some places that if you start slow you don’t really need rest days, so I went 3 straight, took about a 36 hour break and feel fine. Should I stick to a strict 2 or 3 days on 1 off, or should I get as much as I can with in reason?

It’s very easy, no rest or low rest period means bad gains or no gains. It’s like working with your whole body. When you go to the gym and pump some iron your muscles are full of blood and throbbing. All nice and good, but the true expansion is done in the night when your sleeping. New tissue grows and old one regenerates to stronger and better. So yes rest days are very important.

From what I am seeing, rest days are critical. I’ve been watching PI’s very closely and I can tell the difference when I don’t take a rest day. Still at the beginning of my journey, but that’s what I’ve experienced so far.

I think rest days are very important when you’re doing a girth based routine. When you’re doing a length based routine? Not so much. I’m on a length based routine and have not taken a rest day in a month. Yet I have awesome PI’s day in and day out.

I totally echo what you say. I am working on Length now, and I think you should do as much as possible when working on length. I will also say if I decide to throw in a set of Jelqs concentrated on expansion, my dick gets very sore and I definitely need a break. Same as edging with cock rings/clamps.

So Skepticall I think the answer to your question is to listen to your body as much as possible, every one is different and everyone leads different lives as well, as far as diet and exercise, and even your age plays a factor.

The more intense and exhausting the workout was, the more you need rest days. For a light routine, rest days are not so critical.

On a stretching only routine, you can get away without rest days, if you are careful and listen to your body; however, you will most likely grow faster on a jelq and stretch routine with rest days. More intense girth work needs more careful resting.

For instance: I stopped girth work from reading BiB saying that DEFINITELY is harder to stretch a thick penis then a thin one (Big Girtha seems to corroborate with this) and, as far as it goes, my gains in length slowed down some sort of a whole lot. I’m gonna give the test another week or two to see what happens and, depending on the results, resume girth work or not.

This might be true with hanging, though, I just do manual stretches.

I find jelqing to be a synergistic exercise with any other form of PE. I think all routines need jelqing to create fluid exchange in the tissues, bringing nutrients and oxygen to the tissues, and making them more elastic through the gentle stretching in all directions, of all the tissues.

I don’t think it need be particularly hard jelqing, if you are working on length, nor do you need to do a lot of it, but in my opinion it needs to be in there.

Do you guys that are going for length do any forms of P.E at all on rest days?

I mean, not even a bit of manual stretching?

It’s fine to do a few gentle ‘piss-pulls’ on a rest day, but that’s about all.

When it comes to rest days I think you should let your erection quality be your guide. In my opinion if you can do PE everyday and your EQ stays 100% everyday then that will be the fastest that one can gain because of the constant accumilation of cellular deformation on a daylee basis. Know if your EQ starts decreasing after so many consecutive days of PE then rest days should be implimented accordenly. This will be a individual thing.
