IR Heating - two questions

I had some trouble finding Infrared lamps, so I went to Home Depot and asked, they directed me to "Heat Lamps" and said that’s what I was looking for. So I bought a Philips 250w bulb and a fixture with a porcelain base, but it says "Heat Lamp" in the title but the side of the box says "Infrared Technology". I read some threads that there is a difference, I’m just not sure where to find what I’m looking for.

Is this bulb the right kind?

Second, Is the collagen and elastin increase as a result of Infrared radiation mentioned in this article the kind of tissue growth that is beneficial to PE? Down in the "results" section, they show the cheek of a woman who had undergone the therapy for 6 months, and although it describes the results as "Improvement of facial wrinkles", it sure looks like her cheek is fuller with more tissue?

I wish I could help you but I don’t know. The best guy to ask is firegoat. He has more PE knowledge per square inch than anyone. Especially about infrared heat.

Excellent, thank you for the link. I’ll have to see what I can find from that list.

Harder to get IR lamps in some countries than others it seems. I like Phillips 150watt. http://www.amaz on.co.uk/s/ref= …  f%2Caps%2C286

All injuries happen from "too much", or "too much, too soon" or "doing the exercise incorrectly".

Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. The ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth. Basics.... firegoat roll How to use the Search button for best results

Hahaha - I figured you’d show up gombah.

You and marinera keep your fingers on the pulse of this forum better than anyone else.

Already found your IR heat lamp recommendation in some of your older posts.

Glad to see it’s still the same one with all the changes usually made to appliances and all.

I’m going to order one when my rest routine is over and in the books.

It does look like those arent available for purchase or shipment to the US..I’ll have to keep lookin for what is available here in the states. Thanks for the input and advice though, much appreciated.

Here is an Osram lamp which has the same characteristics than the Philips. If it can help.

Hey Firegoat,

What do you feel are the advantages of IR heat over warm water heat? Just wondering—I’m currently trying to recover from an injury and warm water (at least if it’s applied too often) seems to only agitate it further! Do you feel that IR lamps are as good if not better at heating tissue than warm water would be?

Hot water and IR are both penetrating heats. Both are good for PE. IR has the advantage of being instant, clean, you can apply it at the same time as wet jelqing or doing other PE. I just like IR for PE!

If you have an injury and there is any inflammation, adding heat will only make it worse. It may feel better at the time you are applying the heat but it will increase the inflammation afterwards. Whenever you have inflammation, use and ice pack over a damp tea-towel or similar, not heat.

For guys in the USA I believe they use IR Lamps to ‘set’ Minx nails, which are quite popular out there. So that may be worth looking into?

Interesting about the minx nails and lights, I’ll follow any lead at this point! So, thank you :) But when I do searches for Infrared Lamps for setting nails, they invariably go to the co.uk sites of amazon, ebay, etc… However when I just look for Lamps for setting nails, it goes to the US versions and have pages of specialty UV Lights for nail setting.

It seems to be the same for IR Lamps/Bulbs in general. Whenever I try to follow links to the lamps we’re looking for, I always end up at European versions of the sites. It’s kind of frustrating, I see tons of the cheap, IR lamps on the amazon.co.uk site that I cannot order, but when I do the same searches on amazon.com…nothing. Even the Philips site has all these perfect lamps/bulbs, but once I try to follow links to buy, my location prevents it… I’m convinced it must be some regulation or either just a marketing/branding difference?

I did, however, look at the bulb I bought and it says “Philips Heat Ray 250w Infrared”, so I guess until I can make a trip across the pond and smuggle out a lamp, I’m stuck with alternative heating options..

Any thoughts on the actual production of collagen and elastin from Infrared radiation? I’m kind of lapping that study up…which is driving my search for the perfect IR Lamp to disturbingly epic proportions :)

I purchased these items:

http://www.amaz … /dp/B000255OUE/

http://www.amaz … /dp/B000FTEQCY/

I’ve been happy, for less than $40 shipped.

Starting measurements (August 2009): BPEL: 7.625in EG:6.25in BPFSL: 7.5in flaccid BP length:4in

"Peak" measurements (Oct. 2012): BPEL: 8in EG: 6.625in BPFSL: 8.375 in flaccid BP length: 6in

Current measurements (Nov. 2017): BPEL: 8in EG: 5.75in BPFSL: 8.25in flaccid BP length: 6in

Ah I forgot about those, thanks. They made me nervous when I could only find them for heating reptiles and at pet stores, but maybe that’s the answer in the US.

I like that it says “Ideal 24 hour heat source for all types of reptiles, amphibians, birds or small animals ” I think my little feller qualifies in the small animal category, so I may check those out.
