I’d like to respond to Memento’s comment regarding penis pills. In a prior post I (casually) mentioned that I am considering experimenting with boosting endogenous (I.e. Made by your own body) human growth hormone (HGH) levels to see if that enhances the gains I make doing PE. Before I go on, let me state that I am NOT an expert in human physiology, urology or similar topics that may be directly relevant to PE and penis health. However, I do have a research background in chemistry (not biological/bio- chemistry, rather physical chemistry) so I am familiar with how to look into new topics by accessing peer-reviewed papers in medical and scientific journals. Also, as I noted before, I’m a long-time bodybuilding enthusiast, and (admittedly) when younger experimented with human and veterinary hormones (not HGH, however) and do know they powerful effect they can have on the human body.
HGH is not a steroid, rather a polypeptide hormone (I.e. String of amino acids) that imparts general growth on the body and is elevated in men and women when they are young, but as we age is found in significantly lower concentrations in the body. I’ve seen (in person) and worked out with guys who’ve taken this hormone (some heavily) and noticed a increase in mass of ALL tissues stimulated, not just skeletal muscle. These tissues include bone, and organ systems like the gut, which is said to arise from growth of smooth muscle (that is stimulated from its contractions during digestion). (There is even a term in modern bodybuilding called HGH or GH gut, which you can google).
Now before you say, “Wow, this guy’s crazy or proposing doing something dangerous and illegal,” please hear me out. I am not proposing taking HGH injections for PE. I am proposing optimizing your own HGH levels (getting them back to what they were when you were young). And then doing PE, like penis traction, in conjunction with this. This is what I am thinking about doing in the upcoming year:
There are a few mechanism by which to max out your natural HGH. One is taking another polypeptide called Semorelin (Geref). This must be prescribed by a doctor and is used in aging therapy. Older PE enthusiasts may want to think about this. It raises you HGH to its optimal level. The other method does not rely on prescriptions, rather taking high dosages of specific amino acids, most notably L-arginine. Arginine suppresses the ‘counter’ hormone to HGH, namely somatostatin, thus allowing HGH to maximize. This has been known since the 80s (e.g. Alba-Roth et. Al. (1988). “Arginine Stimulates Growth Hormone Secretion by Suppressing Endogenous Somatostatin Secretion”. The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism 67 (6): 1186. Doi:10.1210/jcem-67-6-1186). (I have more recent studies if anyone’s interested.) It seems that between about 5-7 g of this amino acid taken before bed works optimally to help release HGH, and arginine is available at any health food store in pills or powders.
I know my PE routine of traction and jelqing is tearing my penis down on a nearly daily basis: My penis aches at the end of the day. Just like muscle building, the growth comes in the recovery phase and I am going to explore relatively safe options to increase my anabolism and maximize my gains.
If anyone is aware of a thread on this site dedicated to this topic, I’d appreciate if they passed the information on. I am heading into the unknown here, and would appreciate hearing other peoples ideas and results.
