Linear Newbie Routine

Hi all,

I am a 38 yo man from Brazil. I have been reading a lot about PE and I really want to start it and I decided to follow this routine.
I have a question: what if I loose my erection while jelqing? Should I start masturbating to regain it? I think it won’t be easy to do lots of jelqs while I am still hard.

Hi Renato77, welcome to Thunder’s Place.

You should avoid to jelq with a full erection (100%). Recommended erection levels is about 40 to 60%. Don’ forgot to warm up you penis before start any kind of penis exercise.

I also find it tough to maintain 40 to 60% erection levels. I think mine is around 20 to 30% but at the same time I don’t know if it’s just the natural “pump” you get when jelqing.

I’ve only been doing PE for the past 2 weeks and it seems that as time goes on it gets harder to keep the erection. I guess my brain has already learned that a PE session is not “sexy time”. When I lose it I just stimulate myself and switch to masturbation speeds.

I have problems with the erection too, my penis always want to be hard when I’m doing jelqs, it’s difficult to stay around 40 or 60%. When it get hard I stop with jelq and wait it get down, but sometimes I continue and finish the session.

I have been researching for awhile now on PE, and I have decided that there is enough testimony to convince me that it works.

Being convinced, I am going to start this regiment and hope for the best. I am on my third day and have been doing one day on and one day off as recommended. I will check in bi weekly to update. If you have any advice I am open and humble. I am committed and will see this to the end.

I am currently using a warm washcloth and reheating it every minute or so once it looses its heat. I was wondering If there was a better way to warm up for example the rice sock. I’ve read a couple great threads about the warm up, but I just want to know what is most efficient.

Also in the next couple months my living situation will change and I will need a discreet way to warm up. I may not have access to private shower/ bathroom. Any ideas?

I use a cloth towel as well.. When I take a shower, I fill up the sink as well with hot water (nearly too hot) and every minute I re heat the cloth.. But it does feel as though the heat gets lost pretty quickly.. Rice sock works good as well.. Also easy to over heat.ouch!but if I can avoid microwaves I do.. Specially on my penis..

A normal rubber hot water bottle is pretty discrete.

Depending on living conditions, a microwaveable gel pack is a cheap, hygienic, re-useable, highly efficient method - just tell your housemates you have a permanent but very minor knee/ankle/wrist/elbow or similar condition from training/skiing/cycling and that a daily heat pack helps stop it bothering you.

My linear routine

Hi everyone, I have been on the linear routine for one month now. I can share results if you like.
Well results is not the best word because I have not gained a millimetre but I can still share the details.7.2 inches BPER and girth I am am having trouble measuring that correctly. I t seems to change all the time, if I change a very slight angle on my tailors ruler..
Anyway, here’s my routine so far:

(Previously had minor injuries with a little light jelqing)

Basically started with 10 wet jelqs, always 10 minutes warm up and 5 approx warm downs, 2 days on and 1 day rest, or 2 days on 2 days rest, adding a few more every session. Today I am at 60 wet jelqs.
I know that its only been a month and that some people will take alot of time to gain (even some don’t gain at all?) but I think some people mange to start gains around a month is that correct?
No injuries this time. Apart from my skin cracking a bit like when you have dry lips and the corner of your mouth cracks open.. So got cream on that all day..

EQ seems like it is pretty stable.

I have a few questions though.
Do I have to keep the pressure throughout the whole session? For example I was disturbed for about 1 minutes in the middle of my session, and was at say 30 jelqs, and then 1 minute pause. Then started again another 20 to get to 50. Also I find it often difficult to keep pressure for many strokes because I can’t seem to get a grip close enough to my shaft end without grabbing loads of skin with it!
About one out of 2 stokes I kegel just before letting go of the stroke and just before appling the next one, so it keeps more blood in the penis.. Is this correct? Dangerous for a beginner?

A question about stretching.. What type of injury is a likely result of stretching? Thrombosis is generally because of jelqing because of pressure to the veins..

I started doing this routine six days ago and it’s awesome! I’ve been jelqing in the shower with coconut oil (which is a great lube btw) and I was surprised at how I could immediately notice a difference even after the first session. Today is an off day and I’m having to restrain myself because it’s been so fun. Something unexpected that happened was that I jerked off the other day and my orgasm felt more intense and lasted a fair bit longer than normal.. I guess it’s probably because of improved blood flow? Looking forward to sticking with this program :)

Don’t kegel in every jelq stroke.

You will be sorry.

If you do kegel in every stroke, don’t do any more kegels separate. Even so, it is still too much.

Will doing kegels throughout the day increase risk of injury with this routine? I usually do them casually throughout my classes (which are 50 minutes) and I’ve never noticed the muscle getting sore or anything, but I dunno if I should cut back since I’m doing PE.
