Quick Newbie Gains - I'm not seeing it.

I posted a thread before on how I really want more GIRTH. Since then, a friend recommended reading Big Girtha’s threads about clamping. Well, I’ve read over 50 pages on Big Girtha’s threads about clamping, and basically, it sounds like exactly what I want to do, but..

The only problem is: Big Girtha and others say one should stick to the Newbie routine first.

Quote from Big Girtha:
“Some guys gain a lot during this period, others don’t. But by rushing into the more advanced routines you may very well cheat yourself out of these easy newbie gains. This is why we encourage all new members to milk the early gains for everything they are worth, because there comes a plateau after it that sometimes lasts a good while.”

Well, I’ve been doing my own take on the Newbie Routine for about 3 weeks now, and I have seen no effects. :(

My routine:
-For 10-15 minutes, Mon-Fri, once a day, at work, I go to the restroom, and I jelq, stretch, and kegel. I do not use any heat pads because it is just not practical at work. I’m really paranoid about injuries, so I do not use a ton of manly force when doing all of these exercises. Also, I only do dry jelqing because it’d be pretty obvious to other restroom patrons what’s going on by the sound of the squishy stroking.

I’m kinda bummed because I’m not seeing any of these legendary newbie gains, and I hate doing the newbie routine because I *ALWAYS* get raging hard-ons, and everyone says not to jelq when hard, so I can’t DO anything! So I really want to start basic clamping (nothing extreme), but I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong in the newbie routine that is making me not unlock my “hidden newbie potential.”

What should I do?

Not everyone experiences “quick newbie gains”. Not seeing any gains after 3 weeks is not an indication to change what you are doing.

If you have problems becoming too erect to jelq, you can always try masturbating first.

I thought I read somewhere that masturbating is bad for PE?

You have good starting size already.

Masturbation during PE is a heated debate. Some members have gained regardless (I know one member who had gained over 2” would always masturbate after his wet jelq, and then proceeded to stretching right after); some members are careful not to put too much stress on their unit by not masturbating.

By the way, I know newbie gains are everywhere on this forum, but just so you know, there are still a few members (like me) who didn’t have any rosy newbie gain in the first 3 months.

You are just starting out.. be persistent.. you will see gains.

3 weeks is not much time. Stick with the newbie routine for at least 3 months. Personally I don’t think I saw any gains until late in month two.

As others have said, PE is a marathon, not a sprint. There is nothing “quick” about it. People who try to get “quick” gains usually end up injuring themselves.

Speaking of which:

DO NOT CLAMP, CLAMPING IS NOT FOR NEWBIES. It is an advanced exercise, you really have to know what you are doing to do it safely. Newbies don’t have the knowledge nor the conditioning. Your penis is very valuable, do not risk damaging it

Oh trust me, I am taking this advice very seriously. My plan was after 3 months, I was going to begin clamping, 2-3x each weekday for 10 mins each. Nothing extreme.

Good to hear. You might want to start reading through the pumping forum in your spare time. Worth looking into as an alternative to clamping. What girth gains I have gotten, I attribute to pumping. Again after some good newbie time.

P.S. Here is something a vet wrote to me when I was an impatient newbie. I think about this a lot still, it really helped me put everything in perspective:

Couple of months, a year- what difference does it make? You planning on getting rid of your unit soon?

I didn’t think so.

Just keep working your Penile Enhancement practice.

Understood!

I actually did peek into the Pumping forum, but I was confused on how it works - I’m under the impression that it’s not something that is cheap, nor something that can be done quietly in the restrooms at work? Is this true?

Man.. being an impatient PE’er here.. I have to agree with Andro’s statement.

It’s just so hard to see other people gain when you are not. :-P I am persistent… I won’t slow down PE until I see 8x6.. .

My set-up cost about 75.00. 50 for the cylinder, and 25 for an excellent brass pump with gauge at an online hardware store. I don’t think it is work friendly though. But I don’t think clamping would be work friendly either. When I am pumping I do three sets of ten minutes. Some guys do sets in the morning when waking up and then again before going to bed.

How would you warm up properly at work?

Do you mean, with my newbie routine, or with clamping?

If you mean with newbie routine, I just do light jelqs and stretches at first, then increase the force after a couple minutes.
If you mean with clamping, my plan would also be to start with jelqs and stretches, then apply the clamp for 10 minutes, followed by a couple more jelqs.

Hmm, I could try pumping at home then. Is it the kind of thing were I let the device do it’s work, and I can do something else while it is working?

Honestly I think that clamping after 3 months is too soon. I did the newbie routine for about 3 months before I really even noticed anything more than improved EQ. Continued the same routine for another 4 months because I kept seeing gains. The trick with newbie gains is to take them nice and slow. The last thing you want to do is train too hard and toughen up your unit at the start which will bring all future gains that much harder to come by. Slow and steady is definitely the way to go.
