Benefits of Heat in PE

A heating pad has made all the difference in my routine. Gained 1/2 an inch in 6 weeks and I attribute it to the heat.

Bought a lamp setup, and I hope to use it in the new year. However, I want to keep my balls protected. Would wrapping my balls in a sock be enough to protect? two socks?

Thanks

I never strictly used heating, and I am 8.5 or so by 6 inch girth. I used heat in the shower, but I didn’t jelq at the same time. I can’t really comment on heat, as I never used it and achieved this size using only dry jelqs, however I did this all throughout puberty and so I’m not sure if this would have been my natural size anyway.

John,

That is how I traditionally warmed up as well (hot shower). Trying this to see if it increases speed of gains:)

White t shirt material or even white paper towels, folded, to reflect back some of the light work well. If you just pull your underpants down so they cover your testicles and then tuck the material into the waist band, that is an easy method.

All injuries happen from "too much", or "too much, too soon" or "doing the exercise incorrectly".

Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. The ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth. Basics.... firegoat roll How to use the Search button for best results

I never did that to warm up for jelqing though, I just happened to do that because I heard heat was good for growth. I never did jelqing within hours of the hot showers.

What I wouldn’t give to go back in time with this knowledge.

Those instant heat pads are not gel, but a type of salt, and need boiling until they liquefy again after use. You are better off getting the gel type that you can microwave or just heat up in hot water, rather than the instant heat type. I’ve used both, and continue to use the instant type in my clinic on occasions, but they are a right faff.

Nothing beats the IR lamp. Those Medisana ones don’t give their wattage, but they look OK. I like the Phillips range.

Good to know, thanks firegoat. I figured if I buy 4 of those pads, I only have to boil the lot once / week. That’s if I have 4 workouts of course. So not too bad.

If I had a microwave the gel ones would be better, but I’d need to warm them up as well somehow. Unless I can just use hot water from the tap. How long do they retain heat?

That lamp is rated at 150W. Do you think that’s sufficient?

150W is fine.

The gel packs retain heat well, but it depends on how hot you make them to start with and how big they are. If you start off with them hotter and place a thicker layer of material between them and your penis, and reduce the material as the pack cools, that works well. Or you can pop them back in hot water while you stretch etc.

You can get the gel packs at larger chemist stores and they are fairly inexpensive. If your tap water is hot enough, or you have a kettle about, it’s much easier than boiling the salt packs; they usually need a good 12 minutes boiling, then need a couple of hours to cool before you can store them.

By intuition, warming seems to right to help gains before, during and after PE. No matter stretch, jelq, hang or clamping. I have gotten my best gains when I do proper warm-up and “warm-down” and I have found this even more important with clamping than jelq/stretching.

The only problem for me is that these long warm up/down session are extremely boring. Warming during a session should not be equally boring but doesn’t IR lamps require power connection? I don’t have that in the bathroom at home so it might be a bit difficult for me to add this to my sessions.

Historical graph since start including all Measures and Goals -

Start 2008-09-01: 5,9" X 4,5", 2012-03-31: 7,3" X 5.4" - Goal 7,5" X 5,5"

This is intuitive, but I’m not sure if its universally the case. There seems to be just as much empirical evidence of it being useless as of it being useful. Personally, I could not see a difference.

Actually there are two types of heat pads. Disposable and reusable. The disposable ones last for 8-12 hours and the heat comes generally from iron powder. The disposable ones have a solution inside which releases the heat after the chemical reaction is triggered by clicking on a silver disc. This reaction turns the solution to crystals. They are reused by boiling them in water which puts the heat back into the crystals turning them into solution again!

Just to clarify - there are 2 types of instant heat pads, disposable and reusable. The reusable ones have a solution which releases heat after the exothermic reaction is initiated by clicking a silver disc, or sometimes by bending a plastic rod with holes in it.

There are still the gel type which you microwave or put in very hot water to heat up, but they are not instant.

I had never considered the use of the disposable heat packs before - I suppose on the grounds of cost, as PE is a ‘daily’ activity, so thanks for bringing that up iq200; for travelling they may have value. I wonder what airport scanners would think of them though!
