By “barely moves” I mean that the compliance of the tunica limits expansion, and therefore the pressure is not directly transmitted to the skin… the fleshy penis (everything outside the tunica) is only exposed to a slight increase in volume from the tunica on the inside, and the natural atmospheric pressure on the outside (practically speaking, neutral).

Yes, absolutely, and this is actually beneficial, since it is dynamic and theoretically helps “unravel” fibers (like jelqs).

Where did you hear that? The textbooks show a fairly symmetrical worm shape. Again, I like Xenos theories, but I think just as much emphasis should be placed on the disruption of fibers. A clamp applies a similar pressure to one area that jelqs do along the entire shaft. Just like a rope is much weaker at the point it passes over a pulley, I think anything that bends the tunica while applying tension is better.

It’s probably worth noting that a lot of exercises are distorting the base whether we intend to or not… fulcrum hanging is one thing, but even hanging straight down is using your pelvis as a fulcrum as the inner penis runs fairly horizontal… base gains shouldn’t be surprising.

I remember to try to pump with a cock ring and my penis inside got really expanded, i only don’t do it because i need to cut the ring always. “I don’t have balls to keep it after”.

But i was thinking about to try clamping (10 min) and after go for pump for 20 pump + 5 min jelq + 20 pump to see where it goes.

I’m currently using my 1.5” ID stainless ring while pumping since it just fits into the tube, and it seems to provide a sort of hybrid effect. Normally when I pump the erection disappears really quickly because there’s no stimulation, but with a ring I can usually keep hard just from kegeling (I learned to masturbate with pressure on the top of the base, so I think I’m wired for that anyway).

I still feel like my all my total gains are mostly illusory though. It’s hard being a hard gainer… even though the plump heavy hang is wonderful, it feels like it may be a waste long term.

Fascinating thread. I’ve been PEing — jelqing, clamping, pumping, etc. — for years but just recently recommitted myself to a serious pumping regimen with the goal of gaining some girth. Here’s my progress thread: Mordecai’s Quest for Girth

Length is not an issue for me but I seem to be a hardgainer when it comes to girth. After reading through these posts and integrating in some wisdom from Titleist’s epic progress thread, I’ve come up with the following best practices with respect to pumping for girth:

1. Use constant heat to keep down edema and increase blood flow
2. Slowly increase the length of your sets (I’ve just increased from 15 min to 20 min per set)
3. Edge between sets so that you enter the tube hard
4. Milk the tube while kegeling periodically to stimulate your dick in hopes of keeping it as hard as possible while in the tube
5. Size you’re tubing so that you can eventually pack your tube, which builds up internal pressure on the tunica rather than just building up fluid under the skin
6. Elliptical tubes are better in that the pressure is more concentrated on the tunica than with conventional round tubes (still not clear on how this works)
7. Wear an ADC device for some time following your workout to keep your dick as pumped up as possible (usually about an hour or so for me)
8. Schedule your sessions (I’m trying to go for morning and evening sessions each day) so that your dick is in a continual state of enlargement between sessions with the hope of cementing gains

What do you think, guys? Am I missing anything?

I use the wrap method for pumping and it is as effective as clamping and more safe. I am a serious fluid build up person, meaning when I started I got the donut big time and water blisters on my head. But since putting a silicone cap on the head (toe shields you can get on amazon…I use two, one over the other) and then wraping it down tight with self adhesive wrap and then wrap my whole unit with wrap so that it can only expand so far with fluid (yes I still get some fluid, no donut whatsoever and a much longer pump or hang or whatever you want to call it.

Since I wrap I have to pump at higher vacuum but, it’s all relative, my unit is being constrained by the wrap (not all that tightly) and my head has zero expansion…I really don’t want a big head anyway, I’d like to be able to slip it in (my wife) easily but have the big girth follow up ….

Sounds good. I wrap the top half tight to only let the bottom half expand.

If you are DIY guy they are potentially a good tool to contain fluid from skin but allow expansion.

I’ll have to give your Eco 30 sleeve a try. The self-adhesive tape does hurt a bit as you get to the max expansion. I mean nothing worth stopping, but if i had a real strong silicone sleeve (about 1”) and could lube it inside too, that would be ultra comfortable and keep fluid build up to almost zero.

The next step in my trials is to figure out a way to keep the silicone caps from drifting and creating vacuume on the head. I mean right now I tape it down so hard that even when it does pull away and create some vacuume, it can’t go far so it’s not a problem. But I’d rather trust it not to move since i do 1hr pump sessions. I just position the tube down into my shorts at about 10mm Hg vacuum and work away (at home - on the computer). that way if anyone comes to the door (we have a lot of windows) I can reasonably get up and remove the unit without drawing a lot of attention. I have athletic underwear on so it keep everything close to my leg. All in all, pretty satisfied.

I don’t know what happened to the article, but I read in some research article that smooth muscle mass grew in rats by being put under vacuum pressure.. I think both probably work if done properly, but I know for a fact clamping does as I’ve done it, do it, and am/have experienced gains.

I’m wondering if you wrapped, say an electrical cord, or similar, around your penis, lube every thing up and go inside a pump. As your dick expands the spiral of cord pushes against the tube and creates the stress points along the shaft.

That certainly sounds like a nice easy way to incorporate the clamping spiral thing re the other thread right now, girth after length.
You could make a silicone mold out of that easily enough too I suspect.

Does anyone else find it difficult not to cum when in a clamp? I kegel for the whole time I’m wearing one but I have reasonably poor EQ so I stick some porn on from time to time. I always find that the clamp makes me ejaculate which I fear is just ruining the whole session.

I’m currently experimenting with a clamp and pump routine that seems to work out well. I’m only 2 days into it but my flaccid hang is definitely heavier.

A few minutes with a heat pad.
Manual stretching for about 5 minutes.
Pump 10 minutes with heat applied trying to maintain erection.
Clamp for 10 minutes with an erection.
Let jelq for a minute or 2 to get blood flowing again
Repeat pump, clamp and jelq sequence.
Then if I can manage to get it on I’ll throw a cock ring on for a bit. I may try to pump and clamp with it on but that may be asking for trouble.

The heavy feel really hasn’t gone away in several hours. It definitely doesn’t feel like fluid build up. I’m going to stick with it for a while and see where it takes me.
