Girth Upward Trend

Welp, it took almost a year of PE, beginning with newbie in summer of 2016, and finally ramping to clamping back in March/April, decon with vasectomy in late May, newbie again in June, and then back to clamping with jelq to FINALLY see an upward trend in the girth measurements.

I’ve had a pretty easy time with length, though it stalled for a while (as I focused on girth instead), but girth has been a tough one for me. I’ve worked up to a 15-20 minute jelq routine (until my grip gives out), long jelqs, like 5-10s reps, alternating grips to cause even distribution, followed by clamping for 15-20 mins. I use flexi ties instead of the cable clamps most guys use, because they are easier to put on and can be quickly loosed or tightened. They also loosen up as you clamp, so you have some interim bloodflow which allows you to clamp longer, then retighten as the session draws on.

I jelq to warm up, clamp, jelq, clamp, and if I still have enough energy and time-permits, I jelq and clamp one more time for about an hour total workout.

With this sort of routine, I’m seeing an upward trend in the girth, ticking marks I’ve never ticked, so I suppose there’s hope! I’m still doing well on length, but really wanted the girth.

So here’s to an upward trend!

I started around the same time as you, but have been focusing on length, girth after I reach length goal. I have only done manual, clamping sounds intense haha.

How do you get the cable ties off? Cut with razor (that close?) or do u pry the little lockbar outwards?

But he has gained only 1/8 in more than 10 months, or I am wrong? If thats the case, something is wrong with his routine or rest/work ratio.

Some people do not gain fast, regardless of what it is what they do. Everyone is different and comes with different circumstances. There certainly is no baseline for gains that one can apply and offer anyone when trying to get gains for themself.

I also have paid attention to his journey. I was there when it started and when he used to use less work he saw no results at all.

I use Flexi ties. I attached an image of them. They are flexible, soft and hold in place fairly well, though not as good as a click-style cable clamp that most guys use. Plus they are very portable and you don’t need to wrap before use. I lube up, slip on one or two or three and off we go.

Second, on the over-training, there is always a chance that I am o/t, as with any of us. So you could be right, but I figure one of a few other things is happening.

1) I was pre-conditioned. I’ve always masturbated with a sort of Uli with edging. I never just stroked it out, and I squeezed afterward to help maintain post-ejaculation erections, and I usually spent a good hour or so doing it. So I think coming into my PE journey I was already well conditioned from a girth standpoint, and possibly had seen unmeasured gains. I’m not thick by any means, but I’m not thin, either. So maybe I already had gains and never knew, which placed me on level 2 from a PE standpoint. This is my leading theory, given that clamping/Uli is not extremely different than how I always masturbated.

2) I haven’t been jelqing properly. I’ve tried a ton of different jelqing techniques, and finally settled on the 20 minute routine I am currently using. It might be simply a technique standpoint, or a lack of patience on my part to sit there for the proper length of time.

1/8” in 10 months is not very exciting, I get that, but it’s an upward trend. I didn’t give up, and I finally see some measurable results. That’s the point. Not everyone on here gets it right the first time, and they quit or gritch about it, or they move too slow and wander off from lack of immediate gratification.

I may still be doing it wrong, but by God I’m still at it! I didn’t quit.

Fuck shit up, but don’t fucking quit! Hell, that’s the American way, brother.

It’s a lot of experimentation, depending on the individual. 1/8” in girth is a great increase IMO. I’ve been working on girth too, and I won nothing from the first 6 months of jelqing, thought I did but it was just temporary expansion that didn’t last. Then the second 6 months the clamping workouts must have been dialed in and success came. For me the IPR principles along with it allowed gains to continue after hitting a wall. It took around 9 months to stumble across enough threads discussing the IPR subject to give it a try. If you keep notes, keep learning, and train methodically, you will gain for sure. Good luck on your gains brother and like you said, never give up!

I actually jelq for a while with various grips, and then after about 10 minutes tie a flexi just beneath the glans. I immediately bulk up, and the jelqs have be be dialed back a bit because of the enormous pressure this builds up. I even had a raspberry on one side of shaft when I burst some veins doing this, but I figured out where the max-envelope is this technique without doing too much damage. It’s the same principle.

I also use various two-handed techniques. I’m not very long, so it’s somewhat crowded (which is why I use the flexi), but I do variations like you describe. I also slide both hands in unison as sort of a ballooning technique.

Trust me, guys, I’m giving it hell. As suggested, I think I just have a tough tuni. Combine that with age — I’m 46 — and a dwindled ability to just pop a boner on command, and it makes the whole girth process pretty challenging for me. I may have to resort to Cialis or some such, just so I can bone up for PE.

Probably the thing I need to focus on most is consistency and patience. I’m either:

A) Slow girth gainer
B) Over-training
C) Measuring wrong
D) All of the above

In any case, I’ll be focused on girth in the coming years. I’ve just about reached my length goals, so it’ll be all about the bulk from here out.
