Obviously, sex with a woman you love is the best. But the question is, assuming you aren’t with a woman you love who puts out every day, is abstaining for a hooker better than just doing it yourself? Weighing the pros and cons (taking into account sensation, possible repercussions, risks etc.), it seems like a tossup. You may think that hookers are the way to go, but other people think otherwise. In the end, if it isn’t someone you love, does it matter how you get off?

Unless you are naive and ignorant enough to believe any guy can go out and simply find women consistently with enough frequency to meet the recommended ejaculation frequency, then we can say masturbation (hand, fleshlight, microwaved grapefruit, etc.) isn’t completely off the table.

I only edge and I do keep myself from ejaculating. It’s been well over three months now. I’ve been told that ejaculating will slow my gains. That being said, I don’t understand how if I had a relatively healthy sex life and ejaculated multiple times a week, that would be okay. Yet, if I masturbate(or edge) at the same scale and ejaculate it will slow gains? I’ll never jack off again, edging is far superior in my opinion. I will continue to hold back my loads, but it’s something I just don’t understand? What’s the difference?

Being older, edging is just somewhat natural for me at this point. Sometimes I just get a kick out of not climaxing during masturbation. With that said, I will also just as often ejaculate during masturbation and don’t fret about it. On top of all that I have sex with wife daily, sometimes more than once. So if ejaculating slows gains, oh well. I keep to my routine regardless and log every day, so maybe one day I will look back and wonder just how much more I could have gained. However, I am optimistic that ultimately the impact of regular ejaculation will be incremental when compared to a consistent and smart PE regimen practiced over many years. Just a gut feel, so quite possibly not accurate.

My two week decon break ends tomorrow. PE Thursday, thank god, I am looking forward to getting back on the clock!
