Hanging 101

Can’t find anything on that with the internet..could you link that please?

Anyway, decided to post this here.

I recently started noticing some crazy increases in my bpfsl after hanging heavier sets. I’ve also started hanging 4,5-5-5,5kg more often, I even accomplished a 20min set with 6kg actually, only did this once, not going to do it again probably till next week..I measured over 25cm bpfsl several times after 20min 5kg sets, maybe even 26, pretty hard to measure it at this point, my ligaments and scrotum skin are far out my body so I sometimes place the ruler where my leg is, adding a max 2cm in length, in order to know for sure, I have been doing this for a while. I measure 27cm and over from my leg.

A thing I noticed is that I can’t stretch my bpfsl fully by grabbing the glans only anymore, I have to grab with my fist in order to stretch the ligs completely. Does this mean I didn’t gain too much throughout the tunica, moslty ligs?

I am pretty sure I gained along the tunica as well, at least because of the jelqing part, been doing PE along with jelqs since may. BTW, BTB Jelqs after hanging worked GREAT. I can’t do it anymore with my hands because the base got too thick, along with the skin stretch bonus, but I would definately recommend them with as a newbie myself, may even be better done before actually starting regular jelqing, don’t know for sure though, haven’t done that.

Pacific geoduck. You really want that thing to be a penis to believe it, its clearly a dead creature!

At the end of the day what does this have to do with hanging 101? Keep the topic on hand please not on ancient dicks and or sea creatures.

Trainspot if you haven’t already you should post your routine and progress in the progress report section.

Yes, sorry, I will…but I was asking a question about hanging also…going to make it shorter then:
If I can’t stretch my bpfsl at it’s limit by grabbing the glans only, only by grabbing it with my fist and pulling closer to the ligs, does this mean I didn’t gain throughout the tunica?

My feeling has always been hanging gains are from stretching the ligs not the tunica. So it would make sense.

Interesting. Would this be different for someone that started with a suspected peyronies placque bad curvature and slight ED? I feel Im slowly making the bad upcurve a little better and EQ is improving at the same snails pace as the curve, i feel this is definaly a change in the penis body itself not the ligaments.

Actually, I need to take some new bpel photos, haven’t taken since october, because from what I can tell I may have improved my down curve a bit…

Does anyone else think the “shotgun approach” is overrated as being counterproductive?

Maybe there should be a period in which it is best to stick to a single angle, but from everything else I can read on these forums it seems every hanger advises you to do manual stretching as hard as you can in every direction, same thing as hanging only for a lower time set…In fact, even Bib and blink2000 say that in order to be effective, if you’ve managed 4hours of hanging in one angle in 24 hours, you should switch to another one, and also say about the shotgun approach at the same time, on the same page….Maybe it’s a newbie thing, maybe as a newbie it would be counterproductive to stretch in all directions, but further on it should be recommended.

Are you only hanging or are you adding in clamping as well?

Im actually only extending right now. But I figured traction like traction.

I used to clamp after my sets and if I was doing 6 sets of 20 minutes I’d clamp in between. This should go without saying but that’s not for beginners. My thinking was that the hanging was hitting the ligs while the clamping would hit the tunica.

So what’s your opinion on the length before girth theory?

I think it’s just that, a theory. We all grow or in some cases don’t grow differently. Not everyone that does PE will grow. I think it’s more a matter of which is easier for you personally to gain. For me girth came easier so I kept up the girth work and it kept me motivated to continue PE. Length for whatever reason has been much harder. That’s what brought me to hanging years ago. All of this stuff we do is on a person to person basis. So I guess you can say I don’t believe the theory or I more so I feel it doesn’t apply to all.

Length before Girth?

I agree with KC -
How can you work on length without indirectly working girth? The penis isn’t like a piece a taffy that you stretch and as it gets longer it gets thinner. As you lengthen your penis it will also thicken. My associate Dr. Richard Howard wrote his thesis on “Collagen Remodeling”. It describes how tissue repairs and grows cellularly (hyperplasia and hypertrophy).

From my perspective you work both equally…. a balanced PE routine that stresses the entire penial anatomy. Which is why we named our device the “LG” Hanger - L = length & G = girth.
Some men may have gains manifest sooner in the girth department, that’s primarily because of increased blood flow and vascular development.
