I gather that you are probably excited, curious, and anxious. I get it because I was there too and I’m no vet, I started in December 2020.
Truth is, the longer you stay at it, the more skilled and informed about your body you’ll become. Yes, there are many techniques and theories, as you mentioned, but not all of them will yield results for you.
For example, I find doing squeeze jelqs more effective than straight jelqs, at least right now. I know it because I can both see and feel the expansion as I push more blood down my shaft. Over the next couple of weeks, pay attention to your manhood. You will get clues as to what is working. It took me 1 1/2 months to become effective at doing manual stretches. Often times I was tempted to skip them because I didn’t feel anything, but I didn’t. I stayed at it, and eventually, my grip got right, and when my grip got right, I began to feel the stretch. Now I stretch for longer periods because I like seeing where I’m going with my BPFSL. It’s motivating to think that one day these stretched lengths, to a certain degree, may become permanent gains.

When you see that your workouts are impactful, and you'll know it. Then you are ready to dive into the “science” of targeted gains.
