No More Porn For Me

To be honest this sounds like little more than a strong argument for professional masturbation and flippant attitude toward sex…

The only problem with masturbation is that you’re training your brain and your dick to like your hand and not a vagina. You’re probably also doing it to fantasy which is not unlike porn.
Then one day it comes time to slide it in and the warm, soft, wet vagina isn’t the dry, high pressure friction of a hand and you lose your boner or it just doesn’t do it for you anymore. This is possibly some guys have to go anal with women.
Now I don’t think just occasional masturbation alone will do that but I believe that you want to train your brain and dick to like the real thing and your brain to be aroused by the touch, smell, sound, and feel (and possibly emotional connection) of a woman, not whatever artificial imagery you’re masturbating to.

I’m in !!

Porn burn my mental so bad , even I can’t go turn on when my wife masturbate me.

Worst thing, I had to play my DVD porn when my wife doing her thing.

Its frustrating. And she’s feel sad that I can’t turn on with her, and that tough of her also killed her libido so bad to me.

Snowball effect !! Forgive me Lord.

Now I believe those science article about porn breaking our nerve.

1st thing to do, activate my Internet protection,
And burning all those 10GB file.

Wish me luck pall !

Nb : how many month you feel “comeback normal” from stop porn?

Everything seens so easy to control and stay in line, like: diet, sleep, routine, consistency, anxiety … but when it comes to porn, is really hard for me. Sinked into porn world in 2003 with 13 to 14 years old and for the following 5 years been at it in a quite intense pace.

Nowdays, I believe I porn it up once or twice per week and already thinking that’s too much. Sometimes I can go two weeks without porn, sometimes three weeks, but always end up coming back (not so intense like it used to be).

Good thing is I already reduced down ALOT, but want to quit.

Will give another try, wish me the best.

Good luck for everyone at this.

I’m just not one of those guys who can watch it and not go to excess and I’m not the only one. I choose not to watch it anymore and I’m hoping people who can relate to this post consider what I’ve written and make they’re own decision. There are plenty of people on this site who use porn daily to aid with PE and they are susceptible to the same pitfalls of addiction, as any man is. You can take issue with my points. They are generalisations. Funny thing about generalisations is that they’re generally true.

I think you can honestly find a downside to anything. I think most people tend to fare better with moderation. This ranges from drinking water to doing hardcore drugs. It really is just dependent upon each individual and their personal preferences/limits.

It’s cool just saw my post from 2010 in this thread talking about how I still had hard erections and libido while watching porn. I guess at that time even though I did a lot, I wasn’t in too deep at that point. It was maybe a year or so after that when I started to have a TON of free time on my hands with nothing to do but watch porn out of boredom. Also the things in porn that turn me on today would’ve disgusted me at that time. Some people don’t get to that point but if you watch enough porn you will eventually seek things that are “more hardcore” than what you are already into. It gets to the point where you have to seek shock value to get an erection again. But I’ve rebooted before thinking that I’m fine now and can watch porn again only to lose my EQ once again. The only thing that I did different was watch porn again so I KNOW porn is what caused it. I stopped watching it again and this time for good. My EQ has already improved and sex as well.

Good on you Sed26.

In my 20’s, I was happy with my dick. I never thought about it being too big or to small.. And the women I were with seemed to be happy. But the more I watched porn over the years, the more the insecurities developed. Now that I have found Thunders, read the truth, I now feel better, and whether I gain or not, no longer seems important.

For me, starting PE has made a big difference in my life. It has filled in a space in my life that porn seemed to have hold of. I’ve tried looking at lots of different interests to replace it, but just couldn’t replace the allure of porn. Going after good EQ, is more important to me now, than porn. I have an opportunity to shake this need to watch porn. There´s definitely more for me in doing PE, than just getting a big dick.

I was insecure with my size as well and I’m over 8”BPEL. I was used to seeing porn where the guys were bigger than me and it messed up my head in that way too. It also didn’t help when ignorant girls always talk about 9” dicks as if they could actually take the whole thing. I have a cousin who claimed he was 9” and based on his female friends comments I believe him. He also told me how some girls turn down sex because they are scared of it.

Interesting reading. Requires some deep thinking and maybe a decision to try porn less life for a while. Nice thread. / SMD

When this Baby hits 88 miles per hour.... You are gonna see some serious shit!!

Interesting to see how long you can actually go without porn once you decide to abstain from it. You may find its not as easy as you think, especially if you find your getting stressed or overtired for whatever reason.. Check your moods too, whether you find yourself getting grumpy etc..

Maybe not any of the above for you, but, just sayin’

Don’t forget camera angles used in porn try to make their cocks appear bigger. Not that there aren’t big cocks in porn either. Also most of the girls are tiny which also makes the blokes cocks look bigger, so most blokes in porn probably weren’t bigger than you and definitely not in real life.

Trust me, abstaining is HARD at first. But when you keep it up, you’ll notice that after a few weeks that other things will get hard. Enough erection jokes now, it’s very difficult to let something go that delivers instant gratification and is both easy to get and free. I haven’t seen hardcore porn in months, and I seriously couldn’t be happier. My girlfriend gives me rock hard erections, while I never got rock hard that easy with my ex (who was physically more beautiful). That was when porn was almost a daily activity for me. Sex is better and I feel more satisfied afterward. Erection quality is better - when I go down on her, I stay hard, and that never happened in the past. Sex is more adventurous. Masturbating using only my fantasy is amazing and I can keep myself edging for quite a while just thinking up elaborate fantasies - fantasies not only involving my girlfriend, but other hotties as well ;)

When I do get the urge, maybe once per week, I always search for simple artistic nude pictures of women instead of hardcore stuff. Hedgre Art and SuicideGirls both give me raging boners, and when I’m done I don’t feel the need to go into hardcore stuff.

All in all, it resets your sex drive. At first, when I was a young teen, nude pictures were enough. Then it were pictures of porn. Then it was a video. Suddenly, it was threesomes. Before you know it, you end up in shemale hardcore stuff (not too proud to admit that, but it needs to be said) or videos where . And while I’m sure those shemales are wonderful people, I’d rather not end up there again. Right now, I’m back at the start and I keep that downward spiral in mind.

For me, it has been worth it.

Good on you CerealGuy!!

It’s interesting how porn addiction seeks up on you, & how it develops over time. You always seem to be looking for the next buzz, as the last just isn’t enough anymore.. And you slowly get sucked into something even more abhorrent.

Agree

I probably could be a J.D., M.D. With all the time lost..

What’s more, although I do think it has provided benefit and release at times, it has also led to mal-adaptive generalizations about “all women.”

(In that I held a distortions over what that they ‘all’ have done before me, which threatened trust in relationships and sometimes prevented feelings of validation that were meant as sincere. As the guy that was destined to be best-dad and sticker-arounder-guy, it’s always always troubled me the ‘less amount of time energy to get banged by a guy that didn’t mean anything”. Even now in my marriage) I never found comfort in the “but I’m with you forever” because these thoughts would usually stem from times of my needs not being met.

Porn, while not solely responsible for these cognitions, certainly made them more vivid and harder to challenge.. Because of the shear volume of it.

As a fella in pursuit of his doctorate in clinical psych, I think the conditioned response referred to by the OP is more or less spot on as well. Yes, respondents are quick to point out that it can be used “responsibly” just like any other vice. What’s invalidating for folks like the OP, is that statements like that carry the tone of “it’s your character flaw, pal”

If we’re being honest, your “responsible use” probably has more to do with the structure of your brain, unique neurochemistry, and a life of learning. Therefore, a person’s reaction and behavior around porn will enjoy at least as much variability as is seen in other addiction models.

While that is true I actually watched the porn where they truly were around 9” no camera tricks.

I think most of us end up watching shemale porn if u watch porn long enough into the addiction. I was to the point where regular guy and female porn got boring. The addiction is strong.
