Newbie Training Progression

Hey guys, I’ve been lurking around since Dec. 2007 and became a member around Jan. 5th.

So I started PEing in Dec. 2007, I tried to do the the newbie guide on Thunders, but it was too much for me as I had negative PIs and my penis was aching after workouts. I then went to a 3 day/week schedule with 2-3 sets of 30 sec stretches in all 5 directions and 150-200 jelqs at 3 secs each session.

I did more reading, and decided to modify my routine to go with the Less is more theory.

Currently, for the month of Jan.
1 day on, 1 day off
5 min Warm up with Warm towel
3 sets of basic stretching in all 5 directions (15 secs, 30 secs, 45 secs)
200 jelqs at 50-80% Erection level at 2-3 secs each
10 min cool down with a cold wash cloth

On my day off, I masturbate, hehe.
*So far, I’ve been getting good PIs. No pain, EQ are better, sometimes flaccid is hanging longer or bigger.

1) Does the routine look good? I plan on measuring on Feb. 1st to see if I made any gains.

2) How should I progress from there? Again, I want to avoid overtraining.
So maybe like this in Feb?
1 day on, 1 day off
5 min Warm up with Warm towel
4 sets of basic stretching in all 5 directions (15 secs, 30 secs, 45 secs, 30 secs)
250 jelqs at 50-80% Erection level at 2-3 secs each
10 min cool down with a cold wash cloth

Thanks guys!

Reducing your routine early on in response to negative PIs shows that you have patience and restraint; these will serve you well in your PE career!

Your current routine sounds reasonable. Measuring in February (you might want to give yourself until March, actually…) will tell you whether this routine is “good” for you. If you gain, stick with it. If you don’t gain, I think that increasing the intensity or frequency, as you suggest in your proposed February routine, is a good first bet before switching over to different exercises.

I think there is something to starting out a little lighter than you are. Personally I think you are doing way too many jelqs.

I am starting second month of a LIGHT newbie routine.

I am only doing about 90 jelqs per session, and only 3 sets of stretches.

So far I have had some pretty decent length gains from this. A little bit under half an inch in one month. No injuries , no stress, just some gains.

I did the standard "newbie routine" the first couple of times, but luckily I read a couple of progress reports during a warm down and changed my routine early on. Worth checking out:

This guy was doing a "harsh" routine and made NO GAINS. When he switched to a lighter routine, he immediately started gaining. Really worth reading:

NEW newbie + advanced routine

Best of luck.

In my opinion you are also doing too many jelqs. Maybe you should do between 100 and 125, at an erection level of 40-60% and 4-6 seconds. That should be a bit better. The lighter routine has worked great for me just like the other members mentioned in the thread above. Good work on going lighter, hope it works as well for you as it has for me.

Dec \'23 -> Feb\'24 17.5cm -> 18.5cm BPEL / 12.7cm -> 13.1 MSEG / 18.5cm -> 18.9cm BPFSL (measuring in mm for accuracy)

My First Real Attempt:

2006 Start: 6.25" BPEL and 5" EG - 2012 7.625" BPEL / 4.875" EG / 8.063" BPFSL. (All manual routine)

Sta-kool, how many days a week do you PE?

Thanks for the suggestions guys.I think I will drop it to 125-150 jelqs per session and see if I get more positive PIs.

In terms of PIs, I’ve been getting better erections, but I havent gotten more night/morning mood. After my sessions, my flaccid doesnt hang longer, but looks a bit thicker.

Cool down with cold wash cloth. No! Warm down with hot wash cloth! Cold is a blood vessel constrictor. Heat is a blood vessel dilator. You need heat man, heat!

Speak softly carry a big dick, I'm mean stick!

Same here. Sta kool and I seem to be similar in stress and gains.

I dont think I do over 80 or 90 jelgs myself and am just over a 1/4 gain into my third week.

As a matter of fact I did 14mins of jelgs today and am wondering if it was to much.

So just reverse my UN and go with lssrsbttr.

Okay, based on all your feedback and wanting more PIs, Ill lower the intensity of my newbie routine and see if any good changes occur.

This is how my routine will be starting tommorrow for January:

5 mins warm cloth
3 sets of manual stretches in all 5 directions (15 secs, 30 secs, 45 secs)
125 Wet jelqs, 3-4 secs each at 50-70% erect.
10 mins cool down with cold wash cloth, or a hot shower?

Instead of 1 on, 1 off.I be doing this 3 days a week, MWF.

Does my routine look good? I’m in it for the long haul, but at the same time, I want optimal gains.

Also.whats this about the cool down vs. Warm down?

I’ve heard both things, can experienced PEers who have gained chime in on this? Other PEers are welcome also, of course.

Thanks.

Unfortunately, PE is an extremely, extremely inexact science. It’s all trial and error, basically, with a little guidance from others’ idiosyncratic experiences. The only way you can find out what gains that program will produce for you is to stick with it. PEing, not planning PEing, is the way to gain.

On the warm-up issue, I wouldn’t worry about it for now, although some other experienced PEers will disagree.

I haven’t read anyone elses posts, but you sure are doing a hell of a lot of jelqs. Try to stay around 100. I read somewhere about a member named pringles can who PE’d for over 8 months, never went over 100 jelqs, and gained 1.12 inches and was still gaining. But hell, if you are gaining and staying in the positive PI zone, who am I to judge right?

I was doing 1 day on/2 days off and that was working well.

Then I got all wild and anxious to hit a certain ruler mark and I went to 1 day on/1 off. Didn’t see much results, so I have vowed to go back to 1 on/2 off.

Hmm. Interesting Thread! Hi everybody I’m new to the PE world as well. I’ve been lurking around here since around November! Glad to be a member! I’ve been doing the newbie routine for a couple weeks and will def be sticking to it for awhile. I started to add more jelqs and stretches slowly over the 2 weeks. From 100 to 125 jelqs and from 5 to 7 minutes stretching. After this thread maybe I’ll just stay at that point for awhile and see where the wiener takes me on this PE journey. I’m around 6 inch nbpel (maybe just below/above) and just under 5 in eg. I will be so happy if I gain 1/4 inches in length and girth. An ever so slightly above average penis will make me very content with myself :D

Ok thanks guys, just did my new newbie routine.definitely a lot less time and easier.

Spaghettidick, you seem to have gained well and know a good amount about PE. What was your routine when you were a newbie? How did that routine change as you became more advanced?

I have been into PE for about 3 months now. I have seen good gains (BPEL gains of 1/2 inch, EG gains of 1/2 inch) in that time. I was using the newbie routine and ramping up as described, but I felt that the level of jelqing was too much. My EQ (in terms of night wood) had went down the night after the jelqing session. I now limit my jelqing to 100 reps. I flaccid hang is as good as when I did more reps, I have good very EQ every night. The other benefit is that it takes a lot less time as you noticed. Good luck.

Funny you ask. I had a weird experience as a newbie. I actually literally only stretched and ballooned for the first 8-10 months of my PE career. I would also incorporate some ADS every once in a while. Consistency wasn’t very good though. The reason I never jelqed was for a couple of reasons.

For one, I disliked the discoloration it would give my dick post session. Secondly, I did not know how much more important girth was for women. I was always much more fascinated with my “spaghetti dick” haha. But for the past 2 months I have been jelqing as I have learned much more about the exercise and the impacts of girth. I am pretty much doing around 70 jelqs every other day or so. Take a look at my log if you want.

The one thing I truly believe that makes unreal length gains is ADS with a routine. I just never had the dedication.
