I don´t want to be a kill joy but the OP mentioned he only did this for one year and had no prior PE. He started in Jan 2021 by his original post. These type gains are very normal for a newbie and I am having a hard time with the idea that this is all thanks to applying heat to your junk while hanging. There is enough evidence to suggest that he could have achieved the same gains without using heat.

Three common misconceptions about infrared thermometers

No they don’t. They have two settings one for surface and one for internal. The surface temperature is accurate to 1 degree where internal is accurate to 0.1 degrees as the gun I used is specifically for internal temperature and not surface.

No girth work. I found even jelqing with some horse 440s slowed progress. I get an erection directly after I measure post bpfsl. I also get plenty of erections and edeg throughout the day

Did you read any of the links he posted? The routine is a lot more nuanced than “just add heat.” You think hanging low weights over a year and gaining almost 2.5” is typical for newbie gains?

Everything I’ve read says they only measure surface temp. I hope I am wrong though, because sticking this probe down my pee hole is not pleasant haha. Can you link the gun you have?

I can imagine! What you’re doing is the most accurate way, what I did is the best I was willing to do at this moment. It has limitations as it was tested on the internal temperature of a forehead rather than a dick.

Interestingly the surface temperature was roughly 3 degrees below the internal temperature on each measurement. Would expect this due to the way the infra red waves work but still interesting. Will dig out a link

I though you knew what you were doing because I had the same suspicion with the infrared guns :-) .
Maybe if you are so kind and can answer my questions.
I may start with the FIR pad, too.

I’ve been pretty upfront with the thought that this approach unlocked 1.5” of newbie gains in 7 months. Went from 5.5 (Jan) —> 7.1(July). I think 2 or 3 cycles is the sweet spot for newbies. That’s why I post things like “hanging 101 is outdated” when new members are asking questions about hanging.

After 2 cycles my gains slowed to a predictable ~.3” BPEL per cycle. From July to December I gained .8” BPEL. Still solid progress by the historical stats. I think most members would be thrilled to gain .8” in 5-6 months.

I believe that I need a 3 to 6 month decon if I choose to continue. The wife has made it clear that more length is not desired or required. Of course she’d tell you that she was fine with my starting size.

Even 1.5” is a lot for newbie gains. Seems like a lot of guys only gain .25” - .5” before things slow down. That number is just from the PE forums I follow on reddit for the past few years so of course that’s anecdotal. And yeah I feel you on the wife thing. Mine says I’m fine now, and to a point I agree. When doing doggy I have to be careful not to go too hard or I hit her cervix, but with other positions I could certainly use more length. Did you tell your wife from the beginning, or did she just notice the growth? I told mine because I was tired of hiding it. I pretty much just got an eye roll lol.

That is what I used. The body temperature reading is what I used not the surface temperature. As I said before when I tested on my penis the internal temperature was usually 3 degrees higher than the surface reading.

It has serious limitations I agree, not sure how deep the body temperature is measured at and it is tested on foreheads not dicks, to mention a few.

If you try that or a similar gun and compare with the method you did I would love to know how close it is. As things are currently working for me I don’t think I’ll be putting a temperature probe up my urethra yet 🙂

That was the post. I have no experience with the FIR pad, so my questions are about the complete setup
1) do you use some kind of sleeve (lg sleeve etc) and put the pad around that or the naked penis?
2) Is it easy to fixate on the dick or do I have to buy additional stuff? Does it move or can I hang for 40minutes without readjusting it?
3) How long does it take to reach 42C?
Off the top of my head I think I should keep the 42C for 15 minutes or something like that to be most effective.

Would be amazing if you could shed some light on that :-) .

I can agree with both statements. I hit a very big obstacle 3.5 months ago and had to do 3months decon.

Now that I am back I was able to recover a bit of lost BPFSL in one 5 day training regime.

After that I seem to gain with 1mm/5day training session with 3days on and 2 days break.

I gained 3mm in 15 days and am now at 20.8cm BPFSL.

Maybe very slightly more. But I expect to gain 0.8-1cm of BPEL per complete training cycle.

Sorry missed that post completely! Pagination kicked in and I didn’t realize, my bad.

1) My pad goes on the naked penis. I have start with pad on the highest temperature but have to lower it as I go. I haven’t tested with a sleeve yet but it is on my list.
2) The pad I gave a link for fixes to my dick fine, I just had to cut a few pieces off. The total man also goes on fine. I don’t really adjust while hanging unless the is a spot that feels to hot due to the contact. I hang SO as I think this way is best. I tried BTC but pad would hit against my balls more so stick with straight out now.
3) With the temperature gun I posted, which has serious limitations as I mentioned, it takes about 15 minutes to get to 42 degrees. I currently hang for 90 minutes 70 of which is heated. I won’t put any more than 1.5kg on my hanger without heat, if it do this my post bpfsl isn’t as good which makes me think above that weight with no heat leads to a bit of tuffening

This is more than amazing. I have just ordered the pad and will run 15 days with the FIR pad instead of Ultrasound.
Regarding 3): Your intuition is spot on. Kyrpa has explained this in a post of his. The 0.1 MPa point from his calculator is the threshold.
If you use more weight than that, you have to be under therapeutic heat. For me with a 12cm circumference flaccid, it is about 2.1kg max I think.
This is off the top of my head, also.

If there was a very small medical grade urethral probe I would like to try measuring the temperature with scienceguy’s new pad.
But with the thermocouple I have or the one StrangerComeKno posted I am afraid I cannot do it.
Today I was standing there, my thermocouple in one hand and my flaccid penis in the other hand, looking at my urethra.
I am sorry guys, I cannot do this :-D. hahah. You are a tough man, StrangerComeKno.
Maybe you can lift this heavy burden for us so that we more mortal guys can profit, too.
