Hanging with FIRe

Thread Closed

I never feel fatigue, I think that is more when stretching ligs, this approach is more TA focused so to me it doesn’t apply.

Convention wisdom is usually wrong. Most of the Hanging 101 thread is flat out wrong since it’s built around compression hanging. Compression hanging limits you to 15-20 minutes per set. With the hanging time limited by loss of bloodflow the conventional wisdom became hang heavy, until you feel fatigue.

That does not apply to vac hanging with light/moderate weights and heat.

First time trying the heatpad yesterday with the velcro on, didn’t do too well but at least I finally started. I noticed there was a 30 minute sign on the heatpad and apparently it’s what it looks like, think it switches off after 30 minutes. I leave it to warm up for 15 minutes before putting it on and yesterday it went off. When it dies, it’s a matter of switching it back on I suppose?

Does it cover your whole penis guys? Should it be warming the bottom of your penis or around the top?

The manual that came with the heat pad describes the automatic shutoff and the settings. I also warm up the pad prior to placement for 15 minutes. You just need to recycle to restart the timer. Just a note that the timer doesn’t run exactly 30 minutes. My large pad shuts off at 26 minutes.

For sizing, the smaller pad doesn’t cover my entire shaft. The larger one is a tad to big to fit comfortably. There is no particular spot (top/bottom) I focus on when placing the smaller pad. I shoot for the middle.

What is the routine you guys are following that 5.5squared has suggested in the past? From what I remember, I think he does Mon-Fri with the weekends off. Also, what about decons, how long do I hang for before taking a decon break and how long should that be?

Have to say I really don’t like the measuring BPFSL part. The penis feels weird, kinda tired after hanging and I’d rather let it rest. Problem is if I do that I wouldn’t know if I’m doing it right?

And last thing, for the heatpad. Unsure whether the whole shaft has to be covered or not? There’s no problem for the heatpad to be mainly over the silicone sleeve right because there’s not much skin out there for me that’s not covered with the sleeve while hanging. Yesterday I concentrated mainly on the bottom, today I put it more over the top. Wanna know what the proper way is.

Promised myself to start a thread inspired by this one once I’ve got all the equipment, just trying it all on now. If I sort my heatpad questions, I’d make it on Monday.

First off I would highly recommend if not say it is mandatory you re-read the thread and also check out 5.5’s log thread. 5.5Squared Log

A lot of the answers to your questions will be there.

And a lot of it has to do with calculating strain which you need BPFSL measurements in order to do. Ideally you’ll do 4-5 weeks of hanging MTWTF with weekends off followed by 3-4 weeks of decon. By the end of those 4-5 weeks your strain will be reaching "diminishing returns" in which case a decon is needed to let the tissues and everything have a break.

You want to have as much of your shaft covered by the heatpad from what I’ve gathered. But you don’t want it surrounding your balls and you don’t want it covered the vacuum chamber + accessories (also as far as I’ve gathered. So could be wrong.)

It’s definitely not going over the vacuum chamber but it’s definitely on top of the silicone sleeve. When you take the chamber out, it’s like 80% covered with the silicone sleeve and only 20% skin. Would have been great if 5.5 was here now but as always I’m late to the party, just when all my things came in, he retired lol. By the way, thank you for the replies.

I don’t think he retire will be a big thing for you or your possibility to gain. What really can make a difference is if you take your time to read his and others treads and learn. After that you will have to do years of dedicated work. Are you willing to do that?

I’ve read both his threads weeks ago, just don’t remember every small detail.

Will begin my own thread today with my first official day being tomorrow. F it, I’ve promised myself to do this. By the way, I’d be really happy if anyone wants to share pics of them hanging with the heatpad on too, would love to compare what it looks like on other people vs what it looks like for me (kind of a mess). I’m not sure if posting pics like this is allowed on the public forum, if anyone wants to do it, you can DM me, would be much appreciated.

I ordered my Thermedic heating pad yesterday and it will arrive in about 4-5 weeks. I’m taking a break until then. No PE at all until I can start hanging with heat.

I will prepare with reading and fix my equipment so I’m ready to go. When I tried to open Kyrpas excel document “load calculator” It say the document can’t be open because it’s protected with a password. Can someone help me with the numbers. My flaccid girt is 10,5 cm.

105mm equats to 2.8kg/6.3lb at .17Mpa and 1.7kg/3.7lb at .1Mpa according to the calculator. It wasn’t password protected for me.

Thanks man!
Then I guess that a guideline for me would be like.
1,2 kg for 8 min cold
1,4 kg for 8 min cold (put on heating pad)
1,7 kg for 10 min heat
2,3 kg for 10 min heat
2,8 kg for 10 min heat
3,3 kg for 15 min cool down.

I think I will start a little bit lower at first to get conditioned. I really want to avoid blisters.

All these kilograms? Have I been thinking about it wrong or didn’t 5.5 suggest light weights? For me personally he suggested 0.5kgs for 15 mins, 1kg for 30 mins with heat and 1.5kg for 15 mins cold.

Maybe for a total beginner and for smaller girt.

0,5 kg is nothing and I hardly feel it. What is Kyrpas load calculator say for you and your girt?

I think the weight you use is to low.
