Things are going fine. I just need to exert restraint and not be overzealous with the tension. Been thinking that for those who are like me personality wise who tend to be aggressive, it would be good to follow a set progression on the tension increases.

Do as I say not as I do.

One thing that is helping me a little here is that I’ve decided that for the first leg of this I’ll stick with only one daily session, six days a week reason being that I do want to come back and test more frequent shorter sessions on the next leg.

We’ve gained forward position at the start, prior to time under session tension. There is just no choice but to back off the tension here given the resultant increase in preload. One thing that is useful is to observe the blanching of the glans tissue above the attachment and see how long it takes to resolve. If the blanching doesn’t dissipate that may be a useful anecdotal indicator that the tension is too high to allow accommodation. I think that a better indicator than waiting for localized bruising or a blister formation.

Thinking from here to just go up 5% every 2 weeks. That would get me to 100% in 12 weeks which would be an extraordinary accommodation, so why push it? That goal might actually be too robust as kyrpa measured that against a secure attachment as we bottom out, the tension increase is greater than linear.
So we’ll have to pay attention. It could be that as we proceed through the progression we may need more time at each incremental increase of tension.

But for right now at 1/21/2021, we’ll bump it up to 45%.

Pretty clear that I backed off the tension too much. We’ll see how 50% works out.

My goal here is to gradually work up tp 100% and cement it and see what that translates to in terms of accommodation.

This went better, got to session tension with relative ease, last 5 minutes is tough, I think because there are not consistent 60 minute session so tissue conditioning at attachment points is lacking.

Maybe another argument for shorter more frequent sessions. But we’ll stick with the plan.

Missed the morning session so just got in a shorter light session after dinner while reading. Kind of a test run of going to multiple shorter daily sessions. Went well, just tucking it in.

Went fine however glans condition not as robust because not as much recovery time from introducing an evening session yesterday.

Suspect multiple daily sessions require progression with less tension, not sure about the merits.

Too many variables is always a challenge. Better to stick with one protocol to isolate effects.

A comparatively light session.

I believe my circumstances are lending themselves to a substantial uptick in intimacy, I’ll know later today for sure.

SO I’m altering things here a bit and effectively putting the experiment on pause. I don’t want to use too much tension as that does take away from EQ but I also don’t want to lose progress here that has not been cemented. So right now I’m keeping the tension at 50% which is allowing me to just post 22cm stretched length in the extender and will only increase the tension at a very slow, almost imperceptible rate by monitoring the blanching of the glans. At this point this is a very light tension compared to what I’ve been applying.

Intimacy takes precedence.
