Last 5 minutes was tough, I think I did not get the attachment exactly right in the beginning. Need to pay attention that there is no discomfort when securing the attachment.

Glans condition at finish was good.

I have not been skipping sessions for the midweek hookup but the more controlled tension levels seems to support better EQ.

Almost screwed up the attachment at the outset but caught it and reset it correctly. It is very important not to pinch the tissue at the attachment point as this creates discomfort as time proceeds through the session but also is not kind to those tissues. Care need to be exercised that the tissues are properly retracted at the attachment point so that there is no tissues that are “pinched” at the attachment.

Today was the first day in which I felt that additional tension would have been easily handled. It’s been 13 days since 72% tension led to blister formation. So it may be the case that 2 weeks is sufficient time at a given tension for accommodation however it seems unlikely to me that no additional accommodation would occur at the present tension so this time, I’m inclined to keep it here a little longer. But this does give a timeline to note on the short end of it.

The next question will be how much can the tension be safely increased and stay within the therapeutic range of tension?

Although the tissues held up there was more blanching of the tissues at the glans attachment. Off tomorrow for Saturday date night. So I wanted to see how the tissues hold up Sunday after 48 hours of rest to the increase in tension. It is insightful how at the margin 10% of additional tension is seemingly massive, it’s clearly not a linear function at the margin.

Just thinking out loud, 5% every 2 weeks maybe?

Want to gain some insights regarding days off. I’ve got another regular hookup on Tuesdays now so another day of rest would really fit my lifestyle. But it been OK even with this schedule so we’ll see.

There is a lot written about the size issue here. I’m not interested particularly in examining the motivations, but when in fact there is a question about limits it’s always about what the woman or receiver as the case may be can handle. Anyway that’s the perspective.

6 sessions in the last week @ 72% and this tension is handled well. So the increase of 6% worked out. It’s hard to know how much time it’ll take before another increase in tension will take place as I was not controlling the variables subsequently. Anecdotally looking at the log, I’m thinking at least 3 weeks, well see. That aspect is what we’ll sort out next. But for sure we’ve made progress here.

Clearly we’re handling 72% well. I kind of took a look at the log and anecdotally what I know for sure is that 3 weeks ago I developed a blister @ 72% and now I’ve had seven sessions @ 72% without a problem. Maybe tension increases can happen faster but I’m inclined towards 3 weeks.

I do want to finish this out, but also for sure my enthusiasm for this endeavor is waning. I am very much interested in a maintenance program, but I really don’t like the hour long sessions. I much prefer to just tuck it into my life when I’m having coffee in the morning or when catching up on things on the computer. So I’ll finish this out maybe go another three months to capture that additional .5cm but then after that I’m going to switch to shorter sessions.

Basically a similar ramp up protocol of getting to session tension in 12.5 minutes but then limit the time under tension to just 30 minutes. With that I will consider bumping it up to more frequent sessions per week as long as it is just tucked into my life, but I may do that after allowing a period of time for remodeling we’ll see.

Also it happens to be something I am curious about in terms of exploring the effectiveness of shorter more frequent sessions.

Just testing something here, I think additional tension would have to occur at the 15 minute mark, would need to allow for additional time for stress relaxation rather than a faster ramp up.

49.5 minutes @ 78% tension, session tension @ 16.5 minutes

Okay so the timing was a little off as I was distracted, but basically the same ramp up as we’ve been doing. Reset @ 5 minutes to gain forward position in the cradle, @ 7.5 minutes add 24% tension, @10 minutes add 24%, @ 12.5 minutes add 24% and then @ 15 minutes add 6%. What I noticed yesterday was that adding even just 1% to the initial incremental tension increase at the start was too much, but an extra 2.5 minutes of stress relaxation at the end allowed for additional 6% of tension without a problem.

This is not a novel finding as others have suggested it but it sure seems valid, although we’ll have to see if this outcome is repeatable. And maybe there is a more optimal ramp up that would maximize the amount of stress relaxation and thus the maximum accommodation that could be realized in a session, perhaps with a more gradual ramp up of tension. The way that I’m doing it is on the upper end of what can be tolerated without a tug back. There’s just too many variables to explore to get it perfectly right. I’ll just stick with this for now.

We’ll give this at least 2-3 weeks.
