In my opinion. Soft glans can be a result of several possible conditions.
For some people it is due to slowly developed problems, pelvic floor muscle imbalances, weakened blood flow, Peyronie disease, etc.
For other people it is an injury that for some reason hasn’t healed properly.
I have suffered from soft glans for 4 years now.
I injured my penis being drunk with a stupid stretching device that I fell asleep with. (Stretching my glans with too much pressure and force)
I didn’t feel my glans next morning and when I checked if my penis still worked I couldn’t get my glans to hold blood anymore even when the shaft was fully erected.
At first I couldn’t believe it and kept trying to get it to work even by forcing pressure there (probably a bad idea causing even more damage)
I waited a month or so hoping it would heal but when no visible healing happened in that time, I went to an urologist and they did a Doppler ultrasound for it.
That ultrasound was kind of useless since my penis went hard in the shaft just fine and that’s all they inspected.
I was told that there is nothing they could do and they said it should heal itself.
Since then it has been slow process of gradual healing (4 years) It has still not fully healed. Even though I now have better sensitivity and my glans fills with some blood. The blood leaves my glans very easily when any pressure is applied.
I have been wondering all the time what could be the reason for this dysfunction and can it be fixed by any means.
At first I thought that it was some kind of venous leakage. Then I wondered if it was actually due to nerve damage to the sensory nerves of the glans. Now I have concluded that since penis veins are blocked by inner pressure, maybe there is some structural trauma that doesn’t allow all necessary veins to be blocked.
I studied some penis anatomy and found out that researchers have found a ligament called corpo-glans ligament that has a function to support glans erection.
Now I wonder if I actually have a busted ligament causing all the trouble.
I still can have sexual intercourse pleasurable to my girlfriend (we met 9 months ago) but blood leaving my glans is basically a mechanically induced turn-off for my orgasm and makes everything just so much more difficult.
At least I have some hope in upcoming surgeries since seems like there is no serious permanent nerve damage after all.
I wish all the best for you guys. I experienced healing over long period of time, don’t lose your hope. :)
