I’m considering clamping, and my biggest question I’m still unclear on is exactly how do people injure themselves while clamping?

I understand the high pressure build up, but if so many people perform this exercise injury free for years, injuries must occur due to practitioner error.
That must come from 2 things:

1) Too much time/sets/ or days too quickly (overload)
2)Incorrect technique

Since i think i have 1) covered and i’ve never performed this excersise yet I’m really asking about 2).

What in the technique do beginners get wrong? Incorrect wrapping? placing the clamp too close to the pelvic bone?

Anything like that i should look for technique wise or other when beginning clamping to be as prepared as possible, any comments welcome. Thanks.

Hello guys, I started clamping a couple of months ago to give myself a break from pumping (was getting some skin darkening and noticed I started getting edema sooner) I often only have time to do it during lunch (at home) so it’s usually just 2 10min sets with 5min of jelquing between sets.

Monday I had a few hours to do some PE so I took advantage I gave myself a longer warmup and did 4 sets of 10min clamped, 10 min jelq, on the last clamp set I was edging and tightening about 1-2 turns every 2min I was absolutely amazed how much it expanded the last set it was about 1/2” more than I’ve ever seen it and zero fluid buildup compared to pumping. I felt no pain and was really wanting to give it a 5th go around but I was out of time.

Now that I’ve been clamping more and more it feels like my unit can handle more pressure is there a safe guideline as to how much I can get away with? Best part is my glans have really started to equal out to match the shaft even when flaccid. I’m liking where this is headed but I don’t want to get greedy and blow myself up. :)

Side note: while clamped I wrap my heating pad around my unit to keep the tissues nice and warm to promote further expansion.

You can progressively increase pressure. Monitor your reaction from moment to moment and exercise to exercise.

Fatigue or failure/injury can happen. Especially to the vessels. Either too much too fast or too much for long periods of time.

Depends all on yourself observing.
Never go cold. No new blood into the tissue will lead to tissue death after some time. Even heating from outside wont change that.
Any pain should mean you stop immediately. Weak EQ might mean you need more rest between exercises.

Thanks dickerschwanz, I’ve read about doing a secondary cable clamp to further increase pressure. Is this something I’d want to wait on till I condition more or just observe whats going on and I’m feeling?

One thing that worries me is I don’t feel pain at all when clamping I’m kinda using the firmness of the erection as a guideline. When I can squish it some I crank more until it’s firm. I feel like I can do more but just worry I’m going to pop. Lol

I never allow it to go cold. I never exceed 10min clamped and immediately jelq to circulate fresh blood in.

I’m not a fan of more clamps. If I want more pressure I just use my hands to squeeze.
When you feel pain it’s already too late. Just apply common sense and don’t hurt yourself.
The most you want is a tired feeling were the tissue feels “loose”.

When I clamp these days I open and close the clamp constantly letting fresh blood in.

I always thought the idea was to start off at your tightest clamp, and with every 1 or 2 sets to let off a clamp as the idea is that your unit expands as the routine goes on.

But it sounds like your saying to do quite the opposite?

I assume you get better results keeping full engorgement while clamped.. Ie edging or very light jelqs.. I only started about 3 weeks ago 1 on 1 off 2x5 mins but don’t really get any fullness afterwards.Pi’s are ok. Should I build it up to 20 mins clamping to notice better results?

Nobody clamps anymore?

Just wanted to post here to showcase my personal (albeit short) clamping experience.

First of all, I started 2 months ago doing 1 day on 1 day off, with month 1 consisting of:
1x7mins of clamping, 5mins of jelqing and around 10 minutes of stretching.
From this, I’ve noticed that my veins became a bit more prominent, frequency of morning wood went up slightly. However, no real gains were made.

So this second month I’ve gone to 2x7mins of clamping with plenty of time in between to reoxygenate and massage (I ‘roll’ my dick between my hands like you would do when making fire with a stick).
This is then followed by again 5mins of jelqing and 15 minutes of stretching. Veins are still prominent, morning wood is still there. Haven’t measured yet, but my GF claims that it looks bigger.

Now to the real info for you guys: I typically do not see red spots or an increased girth during the clamping IF I start with clamping. However, when I start with the jelqing and clamp afterwards, I get the expansion people are talking about here. The expansion (of around ~0.8cm/0.25in) is most prominent when I sit and my dick points upwards (needless to say the hardness also fades a bit in this position). However, I also get lots of red spots, with sizes up to 0.5cm in diameter. Obviously these are blood vessels that burst/leaked a bit and they typically heal in a day or two. This leads me to believe that there is a pre-exhaustion effect (due to the jelqing) which then corresponds to a weakened state allowing for easier (or in my case, some) girth expansion.

I don’t know how familiar this sounds to you guys, but for people wondering (like I initially did) about ‘why do I not see expansion?’ it might be of some use.
