I have noticed that if I measure my length when I am lying on my back it is about 1/4 inch shorter than if I measure when standing up. I am assuming that this is just gravity, but it is now playing on my mind. Is this the same for everyone?

Yes and if you stand up and raise your arms over your head you may gain even another 1/8”. Be hard to measure without no arms though. :p

Earlier this happened with me but now it’s not so.Not only lying but sitting crouched brought the same result.
