Berghuis’ Routine

Is 1 inch length gains in 6-12 months a reasonable target?

Hi, I’m new here and I’m Dutch so sorry if you guys don’t understand me. I’m 20 years old and I’m now 1 month in to PE and started very slow with a extender. After 3 weeks of using the extender I came on this site and saw that I have to start with the newbie routine first so I completely dropped the extender routine and now focusing on the newbie routine for 3 months. I’m measuring every month because I want to know if I’m making progress. Now my start erect length is 5 inches. I’m very worried about my length and I want to get at least to 14.5 cm erect because that should be the right average length here in Holland. Now my questions are:

1) How much is considered to be the average length gain from the newbie routine and how much should I expect to gain from this (I’m doing 2 days on 1 day off)

2) when should I stop the newbie routine or at least add the extender in the routine

3) is 2.3 cm in length or 0.9 inch a reasonable target in around 9 months or is it too soon to see that great results.

If I have my target goal then I’m 100% gonna proceed doing my routines only not as much as 3 days a week

Thanks in advance

Hey, I’m just starting as well. Gonna follow your progress. Also have the same questions. Hope someone can answer those. If it is possible just 1 inch in such a short time that would be massive!

I am by no means a veteran, but I’ve been here long enough that I’ve had multiple experiences with the Newbie routine (going on and off PE since 2018).

From what I understand, the rate of length gains is completely dependent on the person, so I can speak only confidently about my own experiences. The first time I started PE, my newbie gains were pretty big, and I gained about 0.75 inches in length in the first six months.

I don’t believe the Newbie routine (at least the first 3 months) is focused on getting you length/girth gains, although these can definitely be (and usually are) big bonuses that come with it. In all honesty, I think one should go into the Newbie routine prepared to gain very minimally, as it is meant mostly as an introduction to PE and as a conditioning phase. In this period, people tend to gain vastly different amounts because physiological differences are amplified (whereas I believe over the years, persistent PE’ers will typically always see some kind of substantial gains). Thus, I don’t have a great answer to your specific question (sorry about that) but I would recommend not to worry about the average number too much, since it may not be informative of your own situation, and regardless of what it is, you should not use that metric as a goal-setter.

That being said, I think you should start seeing gains (perhaps small, but consistent) after the first 3 months. I would only add to the Newbie routine when you feel like your gains have stopped. For me, that was about 10 months in from starting.

I don’t know if 0.9 inches in the first 9 months will be reasonable for you - I don’t know if anyone can tell you that. But from my general understanding, that figure is possible and has happened before, but is probably the minority or top percentage of gainers.

Everyone is different so it is hard to make firm comparisons. What gains one person may make in 6 months, another may take 12. One inch in a year is a worthy goal, and perhaps you’ll find you are one of the giys who can reach that goal in 9 months or perhaps 6.

The important aspect of PE is to be consistent and to stay focused on the long term time frame of this activity. Don’t get caught up in trying to measure every day, for example, as that will just cause undue stress.

As to how many days on/ off is best, this will be something you will need to determine as you become familiar with the newbie program and your penis becomes conditioned to the activity. A 2 on, 1 off is a good start. Pay attemtion to your PI’s and if they are positive continue with your regime. If they are negative you may want to reduce your program or change your schedule. Once your PI’s improve and stay conaistent you may want to increase your on days. Again, always pay attention to the feedback from your penis.

We recommend that you stay with the newbie program for at least three months and longer if you are still achieving gains. If yourngains have slowed or stalled after three months you may want to change your manual program or incorporate equipment or other type of PE. An important aspect of the newbie program is to condition your penis for PE activity. Another important aspect is you are getting familiar aith ypur penis and understanding what you can and cannot do with it, from a PE perspective.

We also recommend for new members to take good measurements and a good pic or two for your personal reference. There is no requirement to post pictures.

How to Measure Your Penis

Initial: 7” BPEL; 6” NBPEL; 5.25” - 5.5” MEG

Current: 7-7/8” BPEL; 7-3/8” NBPEL; 8.5” BPFSL; 6.5” MEG; 6”x5” Flaccid.

Goal: Improved/consistent EQ while managing ED. Secondary: maintain current stats.

Thanks for the replies guys, this forum really is help-full. I only gonna measure after 1 month. I’m very focused and willing to give everything to add that 0.8 inch. If I add gains very quickly it will help a lot to maintain my motivation so I’m hoping for maybe 0.5 in the first 1 month but its hard.

Hi dann, I just send you a personal message. I hope you will gain fast too. Please exchange tips and tricks with me because I’m just starting as well. Maybe we can help each other out.

Newbie Routine: whats more important? The amount of strokes or the time of Jelqing?

Sorry for adding another question so quickly and my bad English, but I can’t find my question anywhere else. I’m having a hard time following the newbie routine. They say your strokes should be 3 seconds so around 200 strokes in 10 minutes. Now I’m currently jelqing with one hand because jelqing with my foreskin is very hard and I need to pull my foreskin over my glans every time I stroke. The second reason I’m jelqing with one hand because my penis is not that big (5 inch erect). Now my questions are:
1) Do I need to stroke faster because I think it will cost some quantity, on the other hand maybe I’m jelqing too intensive because my hands hurt after a while (I don’t have pain or discomfort)

2) so the newbie routine says 200 strokes in 10 minutes. If I can’t make it in time should I stroke for 10 minutes only or should I stroke as long as it takes for me to stroke 200 times. So whats more important: the time of jelqing (10 mins) or the amount of strokes

Thanks in advance

I don’t jelq much but when I do I just set a timer for 10 minutes and try to focus on the quality of my jelqs.

0.5” in your first month is asking for a lot, but 0.8” in 6-12 months is very possible. I’ve gained an inch in about 5 months of total P.E., although I first started over 3 years ago. This month has been my largest gain of about 0.4”, but I’ve but in a ton of work this month. It takes time to build up to where you can do PE with a lot of hours and intensity.

I agree. I stopped counting jelqs a long time ago.To me it’s all about the quality of the jelq. Longer is better. I’ve been trying 4 & 5 second jelqs.

Granted, the longer your penis is, that is easier to accomplish. I’ve gained.75” in BPEL sine I started PE and I can tell the difference when jelqing. It used to be harder to do a good 5 second jelq.

Start 8/15/18-BPEL-6.75” MEG-4.625”

2/17/20-BPEL-7.125” MEG-5”

Goal- 8”x5.5”

I’m pretty sure I’ve put more than an inch in a little over a year, but as they say it depends.

Rushing comes along with injury. Stay still for the long, steady and most of all safe haul. Vets say listen to your penis.

Good luck

Exactly this.

All about the quality.

The slower, the better.

At least 5 seconds per jelq.

STARTING: BPEL: 5.9in EG: 5.0in

2018: BPEL: 6.7in EG: 5.3in

NOW (start 1/2024): BPEL: 6.9in. EG: 5.4in

Depends. I guess I am a hard gainer. After five years, I had gained .75 inch.

Start 11/09 BPEL: 5.5", EG: 4.4"

Current. BPEL: 6:4", EG: 5.5"

How about no goals for the first year. Read, learn, keep your head down and do the work. You’ll be more than pleased.
