How to Read & Adjust Rod style Traction Devices (X4/Size Genetics/JES/Similar)

Hi everyone, this is a great post. I have recently seen a doctor who told me the tissue in my penis are tight and the muscles in my entire body appear to be tight also. So yes I have the cord feeling, and a tight shrunken hard flaccid. My doctor informed me some people are just born that way.

With that being said I have tried an extender several times. My issue with the extender is when I strap into the extender I see no tension at all but I feel a pull on the cord. If I add more rods the head of my shaft ends up bending (fighting the tension) but the tension lines never dissappear (I see all three lines). My guess would be that this action is strengthening the cord since the cord is fighting back.

Now my penis has a lot of stretch but due to it being tough, I can’t get a full stretch without fighting the cord in the middle. I use a lot of heat for all my exercises I have done and this has not helped. My EL is 7 inches, flaccid is 5, and bpfl is 7.5. If I set my extender to 7 inches the cord fights back.

Would setting the extender to a length that I can just feel a light stretch on the cord help lengthen the cord (such as 6 inches)?

My experience is limited in comparison to a lot of others here, but this is just my two cents from my own extender use.

Time in traction is a bigger factor than tension. It’s better to be able to put in hours with light or moderate tension rather than short duration pulling hard.
I’ve found that when I do consistent traction at 500-750g for 2-3 hours a day, I notice that I gradually have to unscrew the rods more and more to maintain that pressure. That means that either I’m growing or the pubic tissue is shrinking; I doubt the latter.
Every few weeks, I’ll all of a sudden be able to stretch further than the days before. It’s a big confidence booster, but I keep adjusting the device longer so the tension is maintained.

It sounds like the full load of traction is on the dorsal thickening of the tunica, which makes sense since it’s the toughest part.
I’d say keep that moderate tension, which is focused, and you will gradually see gains as the dorsal thickening yields. Eventually, it won’t be just the one area being stretched…

This depends on your method of attachment. A silicone cup is much more common in a system that seals, like the Vac Extender conversion kit. DTWarren uses that but it functions on an entirely different attachment principle, vacuum as opposed to straps.

If you use the typical noose or comfort strap that comes with these systems usually they are friction and compression, kind of like tying your penis to the device and baby powder simply prevents some slippage of the straps.

A silicone cup with the strap system doesn’t seem like it would work in my opinion. But if you get it to work, let me know.

Thank you for your guidance. It is extremely valuable. The Baby Powder trick did it for me.

I may suggest, liquid coconut oil for conditioning once we are done for the day. It is silky like silicone, but natural and gives the glans and shaft ( or balls) a refresh feeling and look.

Well I decided to start extending with less rods and I notice that there still is a light stretch on just the cord. What surprised me was I kept the extender on over 4 hours straight which I never could do.

While extended it feels like the cord becomes thin to the point that it feels like a skinny string and my penis is spongy. But after a half hour it becomes a tough thick cord again.

I use lots of heat which doesnt appear to do much on my cord.

I just bought a sizegenetics and I was wondering if you have to set it back to its default setting (I.e. 1mm between the screw and this piston) every time you take it off? And turn the screws to increase tension every time you put the device back on?

I just leave it as it is but everytime I put it back on and I turn the screws, well eventually, after a few sessions, I see the threads which in the leaflet says that it means I am using too much tension but I do not feel like anything changed.

So I guess you have to set it back to its default setting each and every time?

For it to work as designed until you hone in on a more perfect method for yourself? I would say so. Perfect attaching and reseting the device. This way you’ll get the hours needed.

So resetting the device by turning the screws outwards once you have finished. And once you put it back on turn screws inwards to add traction? Thereby letting the pistons creep into the cylinder.

You’ve got it. Following the pics in the first post you generate the tension levels displayed by that piston creep.

That’s what it is for. It’s the only direct tension scale guide on the net for the device type that I know of. Still. Lol.

I have a few questions still.

1. How do you put the device 1 cm longer? I mean how do you measure up? From the side or once inside the device? Do you press the device I.E. BP or just lay it softly on the pubis?

So what I do is I fully stretch the penis and put the device next to it make sure the device is a little bit longer than my outstretched penis.
Then I protect the gland and I insert it into the device, I stretch out the penis into the noose while at the same time pressing home I.e. Pressing the device against my pubic bone. I then make sure the noose is behind the glands and then I pull the noose tightly and make sure there’s no skin being trapped. Afterwards, I let the cylinders creep up and then use the screws to increase the stretch.

2. Does this seem correct?

It’s been 4 weeks with around 8 hours a day and 6 hours on weekends.. No rest. I Don t do jelqs or anything else just kegels. No gains..
I feel a stretch when the device is on and I take it off every 2 hours and give myself a 1 hours 30 to 3 hours rest between sets.

Could you please answer my questions 1 and 2 by also putting a 1 then the answer then a 2 then the answer please.

1. You add length to the device with the bars in the device. Or by unscrewing the tension screws. Either way, you have to get tension on the tension bars on some level to progress.

You measure with the device bone pressed because that is how the device is made to be used. The way you said your question is hard for me to understand.

Extending can take a long time to see gains. People report gains at 500 hours and 1000 hours but you are only around 200 now according to what you said about your schedule. I suggest at least one rest day per week myself.
